Warhammer Ancient rules for British forces
« on: August 26, 2011, 06:17:25 AM »
Goodmorning everyone,

I'm looking for some rules (somekind of army book) that I can use for Napoleonic British forces.
I want to use the Warhammer Ancient Battles as the basic rule book, because I want to play smaller engagements in this period.

Has anyone an idea?

Thanks a lot!

Napoleonics using WAB sounds problematic.

How about: http://www.ganeshagames.net/napoleonic/

Cheer up, could be worse.

Warhammer Historical makes a Naps game, but I haven't seen it so no idea if it is yet another Warhammer variant.

I believe that there was at least one set of home-brewed Warhammer based Napoleonic rules floating around the internets. (In addition to the new rulebook Brad mentioned.)

You might try poking around the old WAB (now devoted to generalized wargaming) forum, http://wabforum.co.uk/ or seeing what comes up via Google.

Thanks everyone  I have an idea where to start.

Brad: Your right, there is an recent release covering the period.

Marek: the rules sound good, I haven't bought them. They seem to sell the only in PDF, which is a little bit a shame.

ZeroTwentyThree: There are indeed some rules around on the internet, after some deeper search on the internet. There are some rather good rules for the Lord of the Rings.

I'm now looking at Bayonet Point for Skrimish rules with a small amount of figures.
