Looking good!  How are you going to do the bases?

Some sand, some pieces of cork as rocks, all painted black, dark grey drybrush, snow. Maybe the occasional clump of winter grass. Pretty much how I did the terrain.

Okay, and here's the last pics for now -  the other configuration of the Barge. The handrail comes off (I pinned it with some wire, but didn't glue it in) so I can also run it as an Annihilation Barge. Which looks like this:







More pics when either the Wraiths or the Ghost Ark are done. Both are assembled to the point where I want to paint before continuing - which, in the case of the Ghost Ark, means it is in about 5 million modules right now.

Unit of 6 Wraiths done, Ghost Ark progressing well. I'll see if I can get some pics done this weekend. And I will really have to force myself to base all this stuff soon, so I can truly call it finished.

Next up: 2 Night Scythes, order placed with Element Games today. If I continue at this pace I actually might have a decently sized army for the Bash!

What is "bleh"?

Using two Scythes in a Necron army? That's very low! Necrons only have two transports. One is the Ghost Ark, the other is the Scythe. Besides, it's AV11, so not exactly hard to kill. What's the problem?

If I wanted to powergame, I'd take 7-9 flyers, not 2.

Or are you referring to my painting? I realize that's not exactly up to Golden Demon standards.

What do you think would be a fun IG list to play against your Necron list......I mean not over the top but able to deal with your List. I would even suggest to make several games and at some point you playing the IG to tell me how I can bring down Undead Robot suckers.

I will have to do a lot of experimenting with the Undead Robots myself!
 

You'll need some AA, meaning one Vendetta minimum, or Hydras, or Quad gun on Aegis. Something. IG has options. Fill the rest to taste. IG has a lot of viable builds. My list will tend to be stronger against mechanized ones than against pure footsloggers.

I don't know what anything does, so can't really comment.

I always feel my DE AA is underpowered though.
maybe I need to get a quad gun or something.

The Overlord hits people, makes people hit themselves and makes his buddies get up more. Harbingers of Storm have Assault 4 S5 haywire guns. Harbinger of Transmogrification has an S4 blast and screws with movement and charging. Ghost Arks are open topped transports and reanimate dead robots near them. Wraiths are assaulty and fast. Annihilation barge is a skimmer with an excellent gun. Doomscythes are flyers with a good gun and a DEATH RAY.

I will bring the Ghost ark along...when is the new IG codex to come out? Maybe it makes little sense to plan an IG army right now.

I feel that my storm choices are overloaded with stuff I want and have.......Sentinels, Hellhounds, Vendetta.

Also I think I like Chimera Infantry squads with Rocket and Grenade launcher...because I have the Steel Legion models also loads and loads of plasma I counted and I have 10 plasma wielding guys......I guess they best are used as veterans with plasma. Not sure about HQ and other choices so far. Or if Leman Rusk which type. I think about still using the Manticor even though the interwebs says they are only okish right now.

Yes. Manticores are okay-ish. Indeed. I mean, D3 S10 AP4 large blast barrage isn't good or anything, but it's okay.
