I watched the premier for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I loved it! Feels like TOS in a lot of ways while also being its own thing.

Brand New Cherry Flavor was a terrific show.  Crazy and unique.

Outer Range on Amazon is pretty good as well.  I recommend both!

Enjoying AP Bio at the moment.

I just started watching Spy x Family on Crunchyroll. I really like the premise and its been really good. I even got my wife to watch the first few episodes and she's hooked!

2 rival neighboring nations (Westalis and Ostania) are involved in a cold war. One of the members of the nationalistic party in Ostania is trying to make the cold war a hot one. In response Westalis sends in their best spy, Agent Twilight. He assumes the name Loid Forger and finds out the only way to get close to the target is by meeting them at social gatherings at an affluent and very private school. So Loid will have to create a fake family to fit in and get a child into the school. Loid visits a sketchy orphanage (no papertrail) and selects the smartest kid there, a 6 year old little girl named Anya. Anya however has her own secret, she escaped from a government experiment and is secretly a telepath. After getting her to pass the entrance exam, they will have to do a family interview and will need someone to fill the role of the mother. They bump into a pretty lady named Yor. She's in her late 20s and is single which makes her suspicious to the authorities. She doesn't want to raise suspicion because she is secretly an assassin for a private organization. They strike up a deal, they will pretend to be married so that she can appear to be normal and he can get Anya into the private school to get closer to his target. No one in this pretend family knows anyone else's secret, except Anya because she can read minds.

We're 4 episodes in so far and it is very funny and entertaining. We're watching the English dub on Crunchyroll but the original Japanese with English subtitles is on Hulu. My kids like Anya but they had to skip the second episode because it was too violent.

TL;DR: Mr and Mrs Smith if they adopted 11 from Stranger Things.

In regards to what i said about 'classic' CSI
1: Jorja Fox talks quite quickly with her mouth partly closed which makes it hard to understand her
2: Most of the lab room dialogue is exposition on how the various gizmo's work [its almost redundant the way these 'doctors' shout instructions on how their gear works]
3: A multiple homicide can be solved in forty minutes with time for commercials

Lower Decks season 3 release announcement poster! Considering how Rutherford's scenes went down in S2 E10, this is BIG! Also a great Homage to the Search for Spock poster too.

I've been watching "Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy" on Netflix. Its based on comic books from the 80s and it shows (think of those "Heavy Metal" movies and magazines). Apparently it had its own animation adaptation back in the 90s and Netflix decided to give it the remake treatment in 2022.

The premise:
Hundreds of years after an apocalyptic event created by an entity known as Anthrasax (named after the heavy metal band Anthrax) that rocked the earth has kicked humanity back to the medieval era, but now with magic, monsters, etc. An evil wizard named Dark Schneider (named after German heavy metal vocalist Udo Dirkschneider) and his forces tried to take over the world, but he was defeated by Prince Lars Ul Metallicana whom sacrificed himself to seal Dark Schneider into the body of a baby boy named Lucien. Fast forward 15 years and the Kingdom of Metallicana is under attack by new dark forces. It's up to the naive young boy's caretaker Tia Yoko to unseal the dark lord to save the kingdom. She does as evil wizard Osbourne (named after Ozzy Osbourne) invades the castle. So Dark Schneider appears and is a total asshole. He defeats Ozzy who was working for the new dark lord. Now the new Dark Lord, an old friend of Dark Schneider's as are many of his generals, tries to find out if he will stop their plans of restarting that same apocalyptic event that destroyed the world before.

TL;DR: In a world of sword and sorcery the kingdom named after Metallica summons Sauron to fight a bunch of other dark lords and everyone/thing is named after 80s metal bands and band members. Its cheesy as hell and it knows it. Fair warning as I didn't know this going in but there is a lot of T&A, both male and female, as well as gore. Considering the source material is 80s sword and sorcery, it makes sense.

Also the music is awesome!

Ha!  I'm imagining some, if not many, folks watching that show may not have a clue has to the history behind it.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventures is also like that. Characters are all named after 80s music artists and songs. Dio, Vanilla Ice, Oingo, Boingo, Zeppeli (Led Zeppelin), Robert E. O. Speedwagon (REO Speedwagon), Lisa Lisa, Suzi Q, etc.

Boobwank Empire. I mean, Boardwalk Empire.
I picked up some old 1:24th scale 20's-30's model cars and decided to watch it while building them.
The sex scenes are a little over the top and numerous.

Have recently watch all of 1883.  Very good.

Now watching Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923.  Excellent.

The Bad Batch
Yawn. A show about 'A-team' and or 'Rambo' clone troops is sabotaged by an annoying and needless child sidekick, Omega who breaks the show by being so annoying and useless. She causes the clones more trouble than Palpatine. They have to stop whatever they're doing to save her.

P.S I knew she'd be force sensitive. Ten bucks says the all-powerful Ashoka appears to take her as an apprentice.

Ha!  I didn't realize that was a show.  Had heard something about it and thought it was a one off movie.
