Besides the painting listed in the 60 Days thread ... went on a trip to two hobby stores yesterday.  Picked up some more basing tufts, a bunch of paints and washes by Secret Weapon on sale because they went out of business, the Beginner Box for Battletech (has two cool looking figures for painting, plus 8 more die cut mechs with some terrain tokens, 1 double sided map, quick start rules, a fluff booklet with 5 factions, a fan fiction short story, record sheets, cards and interestingly the box was missing it's 6 sided die), and a Kill Team environments book.

That sounds like a good haul. But the parsing is weird. What went out of business? Secret Weapon or one of the stores?

Secret Weapon went out of business.

Forgot to mention ... also picked up a  used copy of Price of Honor's Polish expansion, combined in the same box with the rules needed to use the expansion.  Haven't researched the counters to see if they are from both sets, but it does seem to have both sets of boards.  And for $37, just having the scenarios could be helpful for setting up historical games.

I started painting my Dropzone Commander UCM and Scourge armies, but then got distracted and are focusing on my Epic 40K set. My chapter of choice is the Blood Angels, and I only have a few more units to do before I am done with them and moving on to the Orks.

I painted on 3 occasions last week and that is pretty rare for me, but I really want to finish off that game.

May 4th: Finished my painting.

May 5th: started work on a Reaper mini with Army Painter paints. I have to admit that I REALLY like these Danish paints.
