Anyone not remember when the ponies were such a fad. My niece was in preschool at the time and on occasion we had to fight brownies to get the toys she wanted

There's a lovely episode of Bob's burgers called "The Equestranauts" where they do something like that. Bob has to learn everything Pony related so he can go undercover and get back his daughter's pony from an asshole bronie that swindled her out of it at a convention.
