Warscrolls and scenarios
« on: July 21, 2015, 06:42:22 PM »
So, when AoS hit, everyone got excited about free content such as rules and warscrolls being available for download on the GW site, which many took as signs of a new, more progressive GW. Was that all an illusion? With AoS (I'm not talking the WHFB ones) are the warscrolls still going to be free downloads or available in a unit box when you buy it? Or are you going to have to buy the new expensive GW books? I used to bitch about $50 army books and my friend just showed me his new $75 book with a bunch of fluff, some scenarios, and a few new warscrolls in it. Anyone got the scoop?

You get the Warscrolls with the box, but also free with the app "Warhammer Age of Sigmar" also for android as of today (see my comment in the app tastic thread)

Dunno if they will be going up as pdf on the website aswell, probably they will soon.

Do you mean you get warscrolls in the individual unit boxes (not just the starter set)?

I didn't realize they had an app.

Yes,  Warscroll is in the instruction leaflet in the boxes.  For new boxes at least.  Maybe some repackaged older boxes if they are going on into the new range

The app is pretty nice. Has all the WHFB scrolls too, though not really interested in those since I'm stick with 8th. Going to play AoS with my friend, so having the warscrolls available on my phone is nice. You can filter for the force you want, but too bad I can't hide all the WHFB ones by default.

So far as I am aware, you can get the Warscrolls;

On the app-tastic-app.
As .pdf downloads from the GW website
Included in the boxes (not sure if they are sheets inside or on the back of the packaging etc.)

And as StealthKnightSteg says the Warhammer Age of Sigmar app -- which is maybe the android version of Apptastic?

The Warscrolls are free, but the scenarios and formations are not.  If you open the app you'll notice you have to purchase the digital copy of whatever book those are in to get access to them.  Oddly, I don't see a way to apply a physical copy of a book as credit to get access, like an unlock code or anything.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar is for I-phone(y) and since yesterday also for Android, rules, warscrolls, books(paid)
then you have the Warhammer app which is out for some time now, for news on G-W, White Dwarf, Black Library, other apps with a licence(?) from G-W and Forge World

More oddly, seems that the Sylvaneth Battalion scroll is actually in there already.. though I haven't gotten the digital version of the big book..

Just make up your own warscrolls.
