The Age of Beasts Campaign

As the title suggests, this is a beer and chips style campaign that can be played anytime with mates. The idea is to grow the World and Realms with more and more warbands that can also grow in size as the campaign progresses.

The Timeline is set before the Age of Myth in a blank period that GW completely skimmed over. There must be a good thousand or so years of story that we can all be a part of.

Due to references in the new Big Book where it explains that before the Age of Myth there was big beasts of magic roaming around I will be referring to the this time period as 'The Age of Beasts'

So far in the story we have seen a town of free people of the old Empire start to rise called Scottsdale in The Realm of Beasts, The Slyvaneth in the Realm of Life defended by an ancient Spellweaver, The Lizardmen descend on a ship back from space to reclaim land and start terraforming New Lustria and of course The true native creatures of The Realm of Beasts... The Beastmen who are starting to ambush nearby villages and settlements.

There is so much more that can be done with this, be part of a story... if you would like to join with some of your mates, firstly its free.. just email me sean.houghton11@gmail.com with your army and your mates armies (plus the size of your armies and the Realm you would like to be part of).. I will email you back with a map reference of your place in the Realm and a small back story plus your first campaign.

You send back your report of who won and a few pictures and ill put it up on the site for all to see.

It doesn't matter if you play 8th Ed, AoS, 8.5 or The Ninth Age... all are welcome.

See you soon!

I'm intrigued, will probably send you an email after work. What is 'Scottsdale' and where can I find out more on that??

Only place that Scottsdale will be mentioned is in this campaign as it is a new settlement founded by the old Empire in The Realm of Ghur (Beasts).

Look forward to getting your email!

And Steg... could probably still make Stormiest work... The Dwarfs could be experimenting with armour and mechanics in the Realm of Fire or Metal.

I'm in Scottsdale. Literally. My office sits near the corner of Indian School and Goldwater in Scottsdale. Guess I should keep an eye open for an Orc or Chaos incursion.

Goldwater, eh...truely, is it liquid Sigmarite?

Olde World... New World... Somewhere in between the two.. can use old or new rules. Whatever your gaming group are into.

Plenty of space for Empire based warbands in the Realms, let me know and ill add your town to your preferred Realm.

Ah, I misunderstood, yet that's what happens when I'm moving too quickly.  My sense that this was somehow connected to the Olde World after Chaos had done it's thing seems to be incorrect.

How was that map of this different world created?

As with GP's thread, I think I would like to join but then with Empire or Lizardmen (1k). Not really fond of getting an alternative storyline going for my Stormcast besides the one I'm working on within the AoS setting up in the timeline.

And Stormcast as something dwarfish... ugh *shudder* no :)

If you still play with Empire and Lizardmen, then no reason in not having your own little town and story develop in this new world.

Just pick a Realm that fits you, let me know what army you will be facing and ill come up with some scenarios for you to play out in your leisure. All I ask is for you to take a few pictures and send them back to me.

Let me know..

Hi,

Yer it has, didn't have a single person want to join in. haha, didn't expect that much of a lack of interest. But also had my first baby, which has meant everything on back burner for a while.

Ah congratz! I'll have a look see if I can join somehow.
