Topic: Men of the Empire!

I, Hawkdos Beastslayer, have heard your plea for an alliance in out sacred glades. Although most of my bretheren have answered you with anger at your ignorance and arrogance, I have seen under your stupidity, and have decided to come here to talk to you. As you know, the Asrai have decided to enter an alliance with the Dwarves, and I agree with this treaty. The Dwarves are in the right about this whole war, and they are the only race wise enough to destroy it. The Empire wants it as an heirloom, and should trust your allies in this... However, I do think a non-aggression pact is in order, and I think I can go even farther than that. If you humans agree to hand the crown over to the Dwarves once you find it, I am sure we can come to an agreement. Note however that I most definitely do not speak for all my kind, just me and my army. Therefore, if you destroy the crown or turn it over to the Dwarves, I will ally with you and try to convince my kin to do the same. So, I want to know what you Mon-keigh plan to do with the crown if and when you find it. If you come up with a good answer, I shall attempt to help you in your endeavors, as well as my other allies, the Dawi.

If the Crown would come into the possession of the Empire, it is our intention to first and foremost lock it up in the vaults of the Pyramid of Light, where it can do no more harm. We'd call together a Council of the Wise, with representatives from every one of our allies and friends, and from the races who know more about these arcane things. Only then can we decide what shall happen with the Crown. It is entirely possible that it will indeed be given to the Dwarfs, but we cannot decide such things on our own. The Dwarfs were, after all, the race that made this trinket and then failed to destroy it once already. On the other hand, we will not wage war against the Dwarfs if they give us no reason to by attacking us first, for we do not forget they have been allies since the dawn of our empire.

OOC: As said before, we do not want to attack the Dwarfs, neither do we like the storyline GW has set for us all that much. But, we're keeping to what seems us the most probable way the Emperor would deal with this item. Just handing it over to the Dwarfs after they marched into our lands bearing arms and without warning, seems not very probable. On the other hand, it's also entirely improbable that he'd want to use it, and corrupt himself by doing so: that'd make the Empire shift to an evil nation, and I can't see GW changing the Warhammer world this much.

Is this acceptable to you? Of course, if you should choose so, we will welcome your representatives to a Council as described above, should the need arise.

Well, Mon-keigh, your words seem wise. Perhaps it is best if the Asrai are spread out on all fronts of light, to prevent the crown from falling into the hands of evil. I shall attempt to aid you, and protect you from the beasts of chaos and other monstrosities who are in search of the crown. OOC: we are conducting negotiations of our own at Bugman's, and they're currently taking a vote on whether or not they'll ally with us. Even if they don't, we'll offer them a non-agression pact.

Mainly by trying to convince your fellow Asrai not to attack us, actually. By that I mean, that we'd like to have a non-agression pact with them. The Asrai are in no way our enemies, and I do not think we are theirs either. But some of them are, well... not looking that favourably upon us.

By the way: doesn't it seem odd to you that the dwarfs have offered the asrai sovereignty of the Great Forest in their pact? Just asking. I, for my part, am wondering why the dwarf mesengers are not shaving their heads now, since they gave sovereignty over these lands to Sigmar and his Empire, making oaths to seal it.

Sorry to bring it up, but I can't really ask on yor forum, since it's perhaps look offensive to the dwarfs. But I was wondering how the asrai felt about it.

At least it has given me some hope that the Woodies may at least sign a non agression, it has all gone a little quiet from them. Are you at all surprised with the pact with the Dwarves, are they usually liked in your forum, it not only seems odd from a fluff point of viem but the terms of the pact seem impossible. I can't see GW letting the Dwarves build towers on the fringes of the forest, I also do not see what good it would do you from an army list point of view, with a lack of war machines to put in place surely your better tactic would be hit and fade?

i simply stumbled in and notice that while the dwarfs offer the hand of friendship i have also seen the the glint of greed in the eye of most dwarfs i have met. my campaigning has taken me to many of their holds and mines. there i have been witness to the greed that can be bestowed on this so called "proud" race.

i also believe that WHEN the empires mighty forces find this thrice cursed trinket it shall be given to the Great Karl Franz himself! for only one so great as he can withstand the horrors contained withing. It was a dwarf who made this mess in the first place, so in the name of SIGMAR i demand that it is not handed to the corrupt dwarfs.

although i have no quarrel with the fair elves i will not see the grubby hands of dwarfs touch something as important as this "crown". and the nerve to ask for the crown without offering anything in return. after all, the dwarfs are all nice and cozy up in their holds, while we brave men of the empire fight for our lives. HOW DARE YOU COME TO THIS LAND ASKING FOR SOMETHING FOR NOTHING, WHEN IT IS BECAUSE OF THE FILTHY DWARFS THAT THIS VILE THING WAS CREATED AND THEN DISCARDED IN OUR LANDS. TOO MUCH BLOOD HAS ALREADY BEEN SPILT!  i assure you i will have no hesitation in slaying any dwarf who comes for aid at my camps.
