I know next to nothing about the history of 40k (always being a fantasy nerd), but it wouldn't surprise if that was the case back when GW was very tongue-in-check, and they have subsequently tried their best to forget it ever happened as they tried to make the setting more grimdark.

Have to apologise for the lack of updates. Is not from any lack of work on my behalf, but because it has all been in service of non empire (or even fantasy) related things like Night Lords

How does everyone paint the new Sisters kits. I have a few and I've put them on hold as i'm unsure if i can paint their legs with those pesky, billowing robes being in the way

They are very fiddly, but not overly so like some other GW kits. I quite like them, but they do take time to paint. Took about a week to do their rhino

Also painted up some random minis for Christmas presents. The mouse cleric is from dark sword minis and is easily my favourite.

I have no idea! It was a freebie added to an order, so no idea of what it is meant to be

Am slowly coming back round to the Empire. Will be a big year for fantasy obvs, so I am sure they will be back on the table before long as am getting the whole Fantasy urge once more. Recent work are some not-lizardmen which were in the most recent TTCombat Kickstarter

Decided to give the Old World a try when my copy arrives, having never played Warhammer before. Putting together an Empire army is easy enough for an intro game

But they need opponents. And rather than play Empire vs. Empire, decided this is a good excuse to finish up the Beastmen I have sitting around

Still got a ways to go before it is ready (Old Wolrd doesn't release in Oz for a little while yet, so got time), but I finished this guy today, which represents a sizeable chunk of points
