GP, thanks for hosting this!  :::cheers:::

Nice to see commandant's 15mm WH/DBA project. That army will look really cool with all the ranks and files!  :-)

Shhhhhh ... don't tell anyone about commandant's 15mm Empire army with Ottomans. :icon_wink:

And of course there was SOF trying to convince us he hadn't made a game table yet, saying he was still trying to decide between 4'x6' and 4'x8'.  He was also supposably having an issue figuring out how he was going to fit a table into his hobby room.  The suggestion was to take out the bar, but that didn't go over well.

GP got some more painting done on his Knights of the Aver River unit.

And Zygmund was painting a Viking long ship. :icon_cool:

Ok ... so far ... GP, Artoban, Feanor, and maybe S.O.F.

Will send email in morning at some point after my trip to the Post Office.  And the cleaners.  And maybe a bakery.  Maybe.

We finished up at 4pm EST.  It was once again a good time.

Lot's of 30K talk early on with Feanor, plus towards the end, we got to see some of S.O.F.'s conversions of Empire figures which were great.  Artoban made it in towards the end.  GP showed folks how far the step pyramid project has come along since last month as well.

Next month ... May has 5 Fridays, and the last Friday is Memorial Day weekend here in the States, so we might do the 4th Friday instead.  That'll be up to the schedule for helping my mother with her property this month, so we'll see how all that works out.

Thanks to those who could make it, and we hope to see the rest of you again soon as well! :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

Awesome to see SoF and GP again. Once again I missed Feanor 😾
Next time. Great conversions SoF. Loved those empire jacobites.
You could field a whole army in that step pyramid GP! Thanks!

It was another good time.  Something about connecting while this world wide public health issue is raging, it is a good way to pass some of the time.

Hey ... just learned of an on-line version of the military miniature convention that I usually attend and volunteer at, is running there convention on line this year, and it will be the fourth weekend of May.

So that weekend is out for Greet & Paint in May because it is likely I will be attending the convention and probably running a game as well.

Of course folks could decide to show up and play in the games?  Maybe even join in on mine, if I host one. :icon_cool: :icon_biggrin:

Pleasant time again with Feanor, GP, and Artoban.

Perhaps maybe the third Saturday of May then?

Doubtful ... the next three weekends is prime gardening time ... and I am redoing many things in my mother's gardens with her and for her.

Life is short, and she is turning 80 this year.  With all that has been involved when losing her mother, sister, and husband in the last two years, there's been less time for gardening, and she is needing more help than in past years as a result of the time and efforts needed.  I was planning with her last weekend, and helping her get it all started today.  There is much more to do.

Sometimes the best we can do is go moment to moment, and a door might open.  If not, I might still go with the 5th Saturday, yet we'll see.

Honestly Memorial Day weekend would probably work fine for me. As these events are more midday to me and as I have no specific plans for that weekend anything that does come up will most likely be late afternoon into evening.

This is definitely not happening in the next two weeks.  With my bodies response to the J&J vaccine it put me behind with gardening stuff, so this weekend will be full tilt, and whatever doesn't get done, it will have to be done on Memorial Day weekend.  That means I might not be setting one of these up for May.  Might have to wait till June.

And the weekend of May 21 to 23 is Huzzah! 2021: Hold The Line online miniature gaming convention.  I have a "D-Day to Berlin" (Battle of the Bulge) game on the night of the 21st, games of "Test of Resolve:WotRs" (Towton) Saturday morning and "El Gran Capitan" (Novara 1513) on Saturday afternoon.  And then on Saturday night and Sunday morning I am hosting games of "Lion Rampant (modified)" (The Battle of Civitate, Italy, 1053).

My scenario is one I created last year, and it is an improved version, crossbows have been replaced by archers, more knights and footmen have been added to each side.  Instead of 24 points per army, it is up to 36 points and suitable for 5 players.  I will post more info elsewhere.

I can definitely see that we will probably struggle, in general, to keep these going in the summer. Better weather and improving covid situation means that there are just more things to do.

It may not.  I have family and friends coming into town for that whole week following June 26th for a family gathering, and military funeral on July 2nd.  My father passed away on Nov 1st, 2020, and the services were postponed due to covid 19.

If I can fit it in, then will let folks know as we get closer.
