Jedi Survivor released yesterday.  I've played a bit.  It's ok.  Something about it isn't really grabbing me like the first one did, but I can't really figure out why.

I'm getting really annoyed at all these Jedi survivors. So far, so many Jedi have survived Order 66 its making the purge redundant.

I managed to get my old copy of 3D Movie maker running on my current P.C. I spent three hours making a Goodfellas parody on it.

I've been on a good roll with a couple warhammer themed computer games right now.

Vermintide II is a blast when with a full squad of friends. It really is just an upgraded Left 4 Dead style game but set in warhammer, and honestly thats all I want from life. Left 4 dead is one of my favorite games AND favorite game styles. Cutting my way through hordes of skaven is always remarkably soothing. I'm keen to grab Darktide at some point cause it seems an even further upgrade on the style.

I've also been putting some decent time into Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate. Its a much more X-Com style game. You have a strike cruiser full of Grey Knights, and you're investigating a subsector of space slowly being infiltrated and corrupted by chaos. Getting to the system damaged your ship, so you have to carefully use resources to upgrade knights, fix the ship, research the ongoing problem and how to counter it and other fun stuff. What I particularly enjoy though, is that every couple of minutes 3 missions will pop that you can investigate. BUT you're never able to investigate all 3. If you're lucky and two spawn close, you might be able to hit two of them. But often you'll only be able to hit one. So not only do you need to prioritize based on the rewards and what you need most, but every time you miss a mission that area increases in corruption. Your force can't be everywhere at once, and you can't risk the infection getting out of hand in one area while you focus on another.

Not until you get exterminatus researched anyway...

The summer steam sale is almost at an end. Did anyone pick up anything exciting?

I had a bunch of stuff in my cart but ended up getting rid of it and focusing on some backlog stuff. And then, after installing the backlog stuff, promptly forgetting about it and trying an overhaul mod for Factorio that would consume my life.

I did have a good time with Back 4 Blood though. It really is just a slightly updated Left 4 Dead, but thats all I ever wanted from it, so awesome. Just let me shoot zombie hordes and I'm happy.
