Hi there!

So I went on a bit of a blood bowl hiatus, while I've delved into some 6ht edition WFB gaming for a while.

Luckily the urge to finish our league pulled us back in and I felt I needed to get some more stuff done for that. Here is my surprisingly accurate thrower, painted in the colours of Hochland (which seemed fitting).

When it comes to actual gaming I've managed to secure a draw against some regular Orcs and smash a Necromantic Horror team, which has put me in the lead. Gonna face the runner-up with his dwarfs soon, and we can start the second round of pairings.

Another update is up, this time my bumbling Averland ogre - Currywurst:

I used the wrong (larger) decal on his shield and had to painfully freehand the number on the edge of the base. Lucky it was an 11, not too demanding!

I've also got the gubbins done. We are slowly getting there folks!

So here's the latest addition. A flashy Ostermarker Bodyguard:

The purple wasn't done with contrasts, as I've decided getting the paint for just one mini was a bit rich. I really like the Maximilian-style inspired breastplate on this dude, wish they did more armour in this type overall. Perhaps when the Old World comes back?

He did well in the game against dwarfs securing me another solid win, even though the game was really tough. The stunties beat my players up really badly in retaliation, sending half of my team into recovery. Not a good premise for the second half of our league but I will try to soldier on.

I'm wondering how many of these figures have been painted, was it a whole team, or more than one, or what?

Sadly that's all I've painted until now. I still have something like 4-5 more figures to paint to complete the team. The blood bowl league died out again so I had little motivation to continue. Hope that changes at some point!

The whole project helped me to gain some good experience with contrast paints. Based on this I am prepping a full square-based empire army for painting this year, so I hope I will be able to start posting some goodies again soon

No progress in that area I'm affraid. Maybe this year I will stop neglecting my poor old Empire army. I did paint up a couple more BB players though, one from Nordland and another in the colours of Bogenhafen:

Fantastic paint job and lovely miniatures.

Spent some time looking at the Imperial Blood Bowl team last year to think about some conversions in to The Old World. Paused mainly as I didn't want to add to my 'to paint' pile, but will definitely look at them at some point in the future

Thank you very much! The models are lovely indeed , although I must warn you they are rather large compared to the older kits. Would make great looking heroes though.
