I have deliberately held off painting for awhile, but are still working on some models here and there. I am currently going through a part-purge/part-reorg of my hobby stuff and much of it has been organizing. I have had some projects that I realistically knew I wouldn't get to for some time, but was just happy to have them for when I got around for them, only to discover while going through them that I did not have all that I needed. So have had to fill in some important gaps, like bases. I had no idea I was so short, and have no idea what I was going to do years from now when I sat to work on them and wouldn't have all that I needed.
I am hoping that when things get settled, that I start with my Rogue Trader models, and start painting my WFB 4th edition armies, and work my way up to the most recent editions.
So essentially I want to paint up everything I bought for WFB 4th, then move to what I got for WFB 5th. In some cases, I have assembled a lot of stuff for the later editions, but I decided it would be fun to go back to the earliest point that I can and work my way up.
Mostly this involves painting the core of what came in each starter, with whatever else I bought to expand on those starter armies. In the case of WFB 4th as I have shown, its what is to mostly support the scenario in the starter, but for something like 40k 4th, its all the units that were included in The Battle Rages On.
I know this is going to take a long time but I am really excited about this. I am being honest though, I see a distraction when my Imperium subscription starts arriving, but besides that I do not really see anything else on the horizon I want, so I should be able to focus on what I do have.
