AC2 is great, better than the original in all aspects but one (IMO of course), the way group combat goes.

In AC1 opponents were very likely to start chopping you in the back when you were busy with one of their buddies in the front.

In AC2 they tend to just hover around and wait until you slay their buddy, which makes it a bit of 'combat in sequence'. THIS comic illustrates my point.
It's a pity becasue it means you don't need a lot of the excellent new combat moves you learn, you just bludgeon people to death most of the time.

One other thing that I find better in AC1. Archer guards. they've almost diappeared in AC2 while they make a nice challenge for the rooftop sneaker

Agree. I liked combat better in AC1. Was more fluid. Didn't need to hit them a certain amount before you could kill them. And yes, they were more active at attacking your back if you weren't careful.

You don't need to either in AC2, it's just that your attacks can actually be parried/defended by the guards some times instead of always working like in AC1. Besides, the gazillion new moves make combat - at least to me - a hundred times better in part 2. In AC1 it was nice for the first few times, until you had mastered the counter-kill timing. Then it was just endless repetition of the same handful of animations. Not that part 2 is much different in that respect, but there are so many different weapons and kill animations that combat remains entertaining for a long time despite being so easy.

Some of the people in this group are the most incompetent and uneducated I've ever worked with. I not only wonder how they were able to become a team lead, making significantly more than me... but how they tie their shoes in the morning.

Why does a team lead come to a mid level engineer on a daily basis asking for advice on how to do things. Sad thing is, it isn't even my team.

Wish I could apply for their job, but it seems they have a minority/sex thing going for them in all the right way.

I was taking out all my models and putting them in a display case tonight. I was really happy and enjoying myself, remembering past games as I set my Empire and Dark elves up on different shelves.

Then I realized how much painting i had before me and I was unhappy...unhappy in deed.

I am happy that my Empire army will look like this:

1x50 swordsmen -FC
1x30 swordsmen - FC
1x30 Halberds - FC
1x30 Spearmen - FC
20 handgunners
14 crossbowmen.

Bring it on b!tches!!

I was also confused by the phrase: "stacked it" and it sounded to me like a groin mishap as well.

I still find it a strange way of saying you fell. Unless you fell on the stairs with a whole bunch of people and you got 'stacked' like a deck of cards by lying on top of each other.

I picked up a wounded starling from the street yesterday evening, it had presumably been hit by a car. It was visibly in a lot of pain and had lost all function of its legs. I kept it over night and fed it a bit, it seemed to like pears. Went to a vet with it this morning, but they had to euthanise it.

Has anyone else noticed how much roadkill there is the last few weeks? It's horrible. I live a 3-kilometer drive away from town centre and there are five birds and one hedgehog just on that short ride.

So, I have this protrusion from my eye, and have seen an urgent care doctor, she didn't know what it was after practising medicine for 20 years, and referred me to an eye doctor, he looked at it, and said he wasn't sure what it was, that it could be a couple of things, and since it developed so quickly, it probably wasn't cancer, but was not sure, so he is referring me to a specialist. So, now I have a discolored thing sticking out of my lower eyelid and nobody knows what it is....not to mention it is irritating and hard to sleep.
