I also love that the more you look at it, the more you realize something else is going. Death and the devil aren't attacking him: Death is taunting him and the devil is following patiently along behind. The knight starts to look less stoic, and more like he's avoiding eye contact with death and the devil. It's like he's done some shit and isn't proud of it. Then there's the little dog, both seeking protection, and urging him on. There's a lot to unpack in that woodblock, and the technical skill in it is astonishing for 1513. really a great piece. I'm glad you noted it and enjoyed it.
