With the seemingly soon release of the initial products for Warhammer: The Old World, and as part of this there being two "core army boxes" being released, here is a poll ...

Which of the initial "core army boxes" are you buying ... Bretonnia, Tomb Kings, Both or Neither???

Interesting that both these boxes will be featuring armies that total 1,250 points.

I like the idea of having both armies, although not sure I'm going to be interested in buying both boxes or not.  Having both will double up all the accessories, and not sure I'm that interested in having all of that.  Perhaps buying one box will be good enough, and then its a matter of determining which want I want it buy.

Hmmm ... my decision is currently pending.

Though I might lean towards berts. That said the perry brothers make such amazing 100 year war models I'm likely to just buy them instead. Its not like I play in a GW shop

Ha!  I have tons of medieval historicals these days, and could easily count them as Brets.

However, there aren't Tomb Kings in any historical lines, although I do have some Eygptians.

I'm probably going to buy at least one of the boxes, although currently haven't determined which one.

Why?  Because my guess is the saving on the boxes could be good enough to warrant at least one of them, and get the rules via this route as well.

Depending on how much the boxes cost and how much the rulebook costs I might buy the bert box

It will ultimately depend on the final price, but I'm leaning towards the Tomb King box. I have a (small) Bret army, and no Tomb Kings. Like the idea of starting a new army for the return, and broaden my collection.

That said, I'll likely pick up some Bret units to go with it if the price isn't horrendous.

Hmmm ... well the pricing seems to be getting clearer.

Although the Tomb Kings would be nice to have, it seems they are going to be a good bit higher in price than the Bretonnian box.

Then their is the issue of ... am I really going to have time to do up one of these boxes?  I'm rethinking again, and might decide to just get the rule book by itself.  That doesn't mean buying at least one of these boxes isn't still tempting though.

I don’t think I’ll pick anything up. I’ve given away my 2000 pts of Tomb Kings to a friend and Empire is my only/go to fantasy army. I’ll wait for our release and pick up the Rulebook/Armies Book/Empire extra book. I haven’t played 8th Ed since 2017 sadly. I’ll hope to learn TOW across 1 or 2 games next year now that I have my own property/space, but it will be irregular. Thus, I’m strictly in the neither camp for now, but I’ll see what happens with the Empire release.

So ... contemplating that I will probably buy Bretonnia only.

Would love to do up a Tomb Kings army, except just don't know how I'd find the time to get it done.  Don't even know when I'll have time for a Bret army, yet much more likely to use these figures for fantasy and perhaps even historicals.

Both for me lol. Love both armies but have always been intimidated by the Bret's painting standards. Will be setting up a new shop in the summer hopefully. Moved again so nothing in 7 months. Not that I can download any pics here anymore. It still won't let me. At the TGA site, no issue. I did a crap load of AoS chaos, ogre and dwarf stuff but can't show it here anymore lol.
Looking forward to the old world but as usual, costs rule everything

Well ... it is now official ... I am picking up a Bretonnian starter box today.
