Nice! New life to old models.

But why does the original on the right seem shorter at the shoulders, compared to the modified ones? Did you do something for their legs too?

I have modified various aspects of the models, but not intentionally the scale of the right hand guy. Maybe illusion of the image?

The new movement trays i have created are epic .

So to conclude, it's a custom MDF skirmish style tray , with 2mm gaps, to allow metal models to sit nicelly, embedded in an X Base of War resin movement tray, with 3M 20mm magnetic cubes in each position.

Then every model is reasonably secure , and won't fall over easily.

Guys i secured a cheap USB hand drill on ebay ,

It comes with a set of fine drill bits, = gonna try and drill holes in plastic troops, to insert metal weapons , and add metal heads ,

all sorts !

I've had a small pin drill I use mostly for things like hands for spears, pikes, and occasionally other weapons.

Rotary too a-la Dremel but much cheaper considering it's cordless and a nice small size. Comes with 2 sizes of chucks/collets and a couple of drill bits, as well as a load of useful sanding discs, buffers, grinding bits etc. Honestly one of the best things I've bought in recent times for my hobby, been really useful with a burr tool to lightly file away unwanted details, motifs, icons etc. in areas where it would be really tricky to get a file into.

I just need to get a set of more varied chucks/collets so it can take much finer precision drill bits as I'm still doing the really small stuff with a pin vice.

I put together a 20 man Kislev Militia using models from GW's history that fit the Kislev mould, plus on guy from Black Chapel minis. All metals.
