Looks great!!

Are you really going the mount him on that base though, shouldn't an ordinary cavalry base suit him better in an Empire army..?

What it is lacking is a mean looking dog on the other half of that base. That is what I see there. Then it will kinda be like a unit filler too when he goes with knights.

like it. Two criticism, one is that horses don't have eyes like humans.

I also think that as a general he should have a little more detail on him, especially the cloak. Such a stand out model needs a little more work.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

ai all good,

the model actually doesn't ahve much to it, after teh armour and fur, there isn't much to paint, no trinkets or objects, decals etc,

quite dull,

i kept it plain basically, the robe also, just blue ,

onwards to new ventures !

I have tried painting horse eyes like that, but they usually end up looking like a black dot.  Making them look a bit more like a human eye helps to differentiate the eye from the rest of the face, IMO.  If anyone asks, just say, 'hey, its fantasy!'

I did the same thing with my one of those!

Then later I think I changed the halberd for another sword.

This is what I plan to go with .. lol

7 Artillery pieces , some scout and vanguard distractors, and a solid troop base, plus flaggie trap ,

hoping that the opponent will be forced to advance on me,

HBVG's protect the flanks and War machines with 1 engy each ,,,,,

the Walter and Genesus smash the enemy on the centre left, and can deal with anything given my loadout.

The army can handle monsters, elites, large hordes, characters and fast movers

I can't help but approve of a plan involving 2 units of 75 Halberdiers.

I trust you will take plenty of pics...

Whenever I put Volley guns on my flanks my opponents always put their juicy targets away from them, so I try to avoid that. Best of luck though, and pics or it didn't happen  :-D

I like the symmetrical (or semi-symmetrical) approach, it might distract your opponent if they were hoping to deploy against a "main" strength, I think I will try it next time. I've been away for a while, what is the Genesus business? It sounds like a general on a Pegasus. Is there a particular item combination that makes him awesome?

Genesus   (gen on peg)   130
FPA + Sh      15
Holy Relic      45
Sw of Power      40

=====================

I use him to get in for a scrum!

He can tie up enemies,

2+ save + 4 + ward and St 6 ,

I'm hoping that the pistoliers and huntsmen will provide enough distractions to see some enemy units detract from the main force or get held up for a few turns .

Giving me a chance to pound them more with artillery.

The Walter, Genesus , and Greatswords move forward and engage key targets

ideally hordes of 100 Goblins etc, which they can work through in time,

the heavy duty Orc's in units like 50 off will be softened with multiple artillery , and then crazied/halberded / magic attacked,

leaving the cannon+ hbvg's to eat monsters,

the VHS on Walter will pick out and eat enemy characters
