I've been looking at how GW used to paint their old 1980's Fighter F Series ranges in White Dwarf. They used to use Blues, Reds, Yellows and Greens all in one unit, which is quite bizarre but also quite liberating for a painter!I'm definitely interested in collecting all the old Fighter Series. If you look at the original White Dwarf listings, around White Dwarf 85-90 the Fighters which appeared in adverts were later amalgamated into smaller general listings, in the catalogues from 1989-91.Originally they had fighters, paladins, dogs of war etc.Later they listed them as Adventurers , mixing up the models , hand picking some from earlier releases, like the scenario stuff - tragedy of mcdeath for instance...I would anticipate needing about £1000 to collect the entire range. It has to be about 200 models.
If you own enough of the 1980's - 1990's Citadel Fighter Series, and the Marauder Series, then paint them all; you would have enough different troops to be able to simply hand pick 50 of any troop type for a battle.

I'd never have the heart to crack open a 25 year old blister.

He's seriously one of my favorite GW figures Quote from: patsy02 on June 17, 2012, 11:38:30 AMsorry bud i promise to paint him well though
