Hang on - I've got one of those in my repainting pile, but it HAS DIFFERENT WINGS! What the heck? I never noticed before...

Anyone know what these are off then...

Btw Mr CW: do you have a list of what you are still looking for posted anywhere on the forum?

Those wings were used for Deathclaw and the Wood Elves Great Eagle, and some more stuff. I think they only used those two wing pares in those days...

They look like the wings from the original Death Claw model

Well, the good news is I just checked and my Deathclaw has got the correct wings, so I didn't just mix them up!

One of the perils of second hand minis I suppose!

For a short while a variation was sold for High Elves.

Much like the old Eltharion was a wing swap of Deathclaw (almost, slightly different griffon)

Those two wing sets were interchangable

Mystery solved! Those are the same as the Empire mounts but with the wings swapped over. So I have an Elf pegasus with an Empire rider. I still can't believe I never noticed that!

Anyway, Mr CW has done a lovely job on that model, you don't see many non-white Pegasi and I am more than tempted to copy him

These guys are rare and old enough that I had to gloss varnish them , so that the models will stay alive for decades to come in my cabinet!

I have now paint stripped the last of my secret drawer's on foot mini's.

There are about 20 mounted OOP metal ones left to prep.

Do you think that I might have gone over board with the ebay spend?

I think I need to calm down now and just paint all of these b4 i buy more!
