sometimes it is better to plan ahead before you spend money on anything. Especially now you have wive and child. They should be priority one before anything else.

Why did you decide to build/ buy youre own table instead of rebuilding youre plastic GW board anyway?

I sold my GW board for £140 ,

then I made new one for £30

I was annoyed with the GW Board from the start, it takes ages to assemble each time, clipping those rubbish clips into place!

My new board is 4 sections of 4 * 2 foot 5cm deep Styrofoam,

Don't worry , I'm only conscious about finance because i'm about to blow £5000 on a Solar Panel set up , to offset all my electricity bills.

At just under £20 per troll, considering some of them are vintage and they're all well-painted, that's not too bad a deal. A shame I don't have £350 knocking about to spend on trolls, really, as I've wanted a few for ages.

The third-from-left front ranker is a Blood Bowl interloper, if I'm not mistaken. I have a similar one I've been trying to strip for months. It's the hardest model to strip I've ever encountered; God knows what it was originally painted with.

3 of the Trolls cost me in the £30 region, the rest £15-20,

If you want a horde of decent metal Trolls, painted nicely, then you can't achieve it without a fairly substantial investment.

You can sometimes pick up cheaper badly painted ones online and strip em, but it's a pain in the rear !

By the time you have stripped the paint, processed and painted the model, you will wish you had just bought one unpainted LOL

it must be different in the uk.

I was able to get all of the old citadel and marauder trolls for a very decent price. about $10-12 us.

I'm only missing the citadel troll with the armor and I think I paid a few extra bones for my old bloodbowl troll.

I'm gonna mount the Keep on a Hill , then have a walled fortress surrounding it, then at the base of the hill comes the empire town,

then a river, forest, roads ,

it will look like an LOTR film set !

THE KEEP!!

It's better than I could have imagined, finely crafted, feels like stone to the touch, really dense resin , weighs about 5 KG
