The blue ones have a great hindu feel to them. I love them, a really unique touch to some classic models.

Guys, don't worry i'm not selling my collection, I just had a nice Pegasus , a Bret one, with a bits box bashed Empire General , that I painted ages ago to a very nice standard.

I made a nice auction on e bay and sold it to a gent in Madrid for £35.....

It only cost me £2 to make...

So maybe now I'm thinking I could do some on the side painting and selling,

Can I ask , would it be better from a sales perspective to put monsters or monstrous cavalry on Round Bases to appeal to the AOS crowd for the sake of selling painted models?

If yes , what size bases should I use for Dragon Ogres?

(I landed 3 on e bay for £16 , metal OOP, another 3 lol, which is a bargain, I can paint them up and treble the value or better ).

Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

Are the dragon ogres cavalry sized or something else?

Suspect they don't have scrolls for dragon ogres, what army did they go with in the old days, Chaos?

Same sort of size as DG's , but classed as monstrous Beasts in 8th

I don't know anything about AOS ,

I thought you could play any of the old stuff, as long as it had round bases?

I would suggest you attach the models to a temporary base which you do not paint. So, if they are plastic models, just lightly glue them in place (perhaps even put little blocks of sprue in as spacers, to make it easier to remove). For metal models, do much the same - little spacers but superglue.

That will mean they can easily be removed and people can base them themselves.

Then, you are i) appealing to both groups ii) not wasting your time basing them yourself iii) not tying yourself to a particular style of basing (many people have a particular style of basing they want to do for their armies)

Not sure the really old stuff is provided with scrolls.  As an example, no Imperial War Wagon rules currently provided.  Suspect the Dragon Ogres don't have any either.

I didn't keep up with 8th.  Once I determined that it was less than 6th and 7th (in a values sort of way, certainly not a cost), I didn't spend any more time or effort on it.  Have no idea what most of the other armies outside of the one's I use, mostly Empire, had in 8th.  On top of less than interesting rules, too many expensive army books to keep up with anymore.  And now they're charging $150 for fluff (?) books in W:AoS! :icon_eek:  Seems to me they've combined armies, but maybe combined books too?  Giving up and blowing up the Olde World, well, we already know how I think of that. I'm wondering if the kid's are getting their parents to buy those $150 books? :icon_lol:

Dragon Ogres have rules in AoS; http://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/AoS_Compendiums/warhammer-aos-warriors-of-chaos-en.pdf

You can use any model you like, and it doesn't need to be on round bases. You can play the game on squares if you like (although the new stuff has round bases).

Did you need an original Hochland Longrifle figure - I am sure I could find you one - I had a regiment during 5th Ed.

I'm listing a few items on e bay just for a flirt, at quite high prices, but which reflect the time taken to paint them, bargain really when you consider the hours ...

I've concluded my collection is a mental illness, lol,

I need to make some hard decisions, and sell some, it's out of control.

I think I might thin down to having a big empire army for gaming, then the Orc army , and maybe do a Chaos one. :)

I won't make any irrational sales, i'm only selling or prices I feel reflect the quality,,

I sold some Gamezone minis yesterday , painted for £35. Only 4 models, which I though was fair.

You started a self-help thread in the BT - have you been back to it, or was it alcohol induced and you don't remember ..............  :engel:
