It was also suggested in that thread that the painted mini pictured was possibly in Rick Priestley's collection.

I wonder if anyone has thought to simply ask him. I've seen him occasionally post in forums & FB groups, and it sounds like he attends various gaming events in the UK.

LOL, I just became friends with Mr. Priestly on Facebook. I do want to ask him but I think I will wait a while. Personally I am not a collector of the stuff from that period, but I am curious.

Not really. The first model I've ever painted was a High Elf archer from 5th edition, the one that was available in the painting box with those goblins. ;)

And now some more modern, skulking dark miscreants, they sneak in from the forest tree line , and before you know it you are under archer fire!

Ha , you read my mind so well! I've already been planning 200.

300*3 pts , for the 900 point front line , 10 units of 30 archers , plus 12 spear chukkas, , - 1320 pts all in,

It's viable in a 4K game !

Imagine your opponents face when he sees he has to get past 300 archers and 12 spearchukkas, and the worst part of it being that they are all sacrificial lams for Gork !

Behind this artillery line, at the back, lies 2*100 Night Goblin hordes, 60 Sav Boar Riders , lots of Magic , and 4 Doom Divers , plus 2 Giants, etc,

Haha

A round base, playing AoS with it?  ::heretic::
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

I always liked that old school giant more, than the new one (altough the new one is great as well). Your work is inspiring as hell. :eusa_clap:

Me too. That model looks really nice, even if it dosen't have that classic, GW O&G vibe to it.

Guys and Gals, I have to thin down my collection.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/rubus79uk/m.html?item=322067663019&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

I lost the will to collect everything ever released , after discovering top secret sculpts , numerous Empire ones, which will never be retrieved with any amount of money or time..

Instead I am focusing on painting and keeping armies to play 8th edition forever !!

So please see the above e bay link, some of my nice works for sale..
