A chicken and rice dish from a chinese takeaway which is close to the office.
Not bad, but lunch is a lot less fun these days.
We don't have a cafeteria, but there is a big engineering company in the same street where we can go as guests. This was awesome the last 3 years, as the quality is really quite good, the prices were reasonable and above all, it adds variety, being able to chose between 4 different dishes every day.
Now they recently transferred an additional 500 staff or so to that plant from another site close by, and were propably looking for a way to make the external guests visit less often so the cafeteria wouldn't be so crowded - so prices for external guests got a hefty increase across the board (about 2-2,50 Euros per dish). This moved it from "not cheap, but reasonable" into "no way I can afford that every day" territory. So now it's only one or two visits there per week, and the rest is filled with the same boring few choices that are available close by. I could just bring a few sandwiches from home I suppose, but I like to have my warm meal during the midday, not in the evening. Sigh.
One for the unhappy thread really.
