I think it is a made up chapter because IP etc...

But it is an awesome work. So good.

My brother sent this to me awhile ago. Created totally by a fan with little or no backing financially I think if I remember correctly. I really enjoyed it.

Oh, I remember this. Quite.

The chapter is of his own making, yes, and this is an absolutely independent fanwork.

His channel was hacked some time ago, and through Facebook and Youtube there was lot of activism by the part of the fans of his work to have the channel again on his hands, which Youtube eventually delivered it back. It was a pretty big deal some months ago.

Ah, Astartes. The video that launched a thousand WH40K memes and put GW's videos to shame. Its a great video, and has some great cosmic horror elements. I can't wait for it to continue.

This "Black Templar" video just came out today (completely different person) but I really like how the guard are portrayed in it.

Honestly there are a lot of great fan made animations and works out there.  :biggriin:

Not bad, I like the other one better though.  Maybe I'm just getting old, but I like it when a film has a bit of story, and not just and action packed log jam.

The 4th Ciaphas Cain novel "Death or Glory" would have to disagree with you.

I think de-orking an ork isn't wise. And they aren't as dumb as they sometimes pretend to be.

Bah! Let me live my lie 😺

I can’t remember that Ciaphus Cain story. Time to reread it. I loved all the books.

Remember the Ork diplomats sent to Terra to negotiate its surrender? The High Lords were shocked they spoke so well and with such sophistication!

Its one of my favorites. Its just a really good one! I think I liked "The Traitor's Hand" more but both are top tier Cain-ery. I really need to finish the second omnibus and get on with the third.

Intelligent orks? Time for you guys to read the infantry mans primer. I’ve got 2 of them and they do t say anything about intellectual orks or tau for that matter 😺

That delegation of orks sent to terra was a great scene. Loved that  series as well. Seriously, I  need to dig out that CC novel again. When I can’t remember them, it’s time to read em again.

I read a 40K novella for the first time since I read Sabbat Worlds (Needs to get Abnetts The Victory), Wreck & Ruin about a squad of Sisters of Battle that have to support an Inquisitor with some strange antics.

It was pretty good, and it presented the character of the Order of the Bloody Rose very well. And the small squad of Guards that also comes along are portrayed as solid soldiers.

Cool with some AdMech mystery left behind and it is a somewhat open ending that means it would be possible to dive more into what will happen to the backwater world of Lycheate.

Saw this some time ago. Its incredible how amazing the Space Marine portrayal is in this one. None of the "heresy xenos blabla" babble you have in GW games usually. Just pure cold precision! Amazing video!

The one thing that stuck out, besides the overall decent quality of the video, was that the commander leading the men out of the trench with the hat didn't have a mask on.

He's a commissar. He's not from Krieg and so doesn't wear the mask (unless its a situation where a mask is required like on a death world or during a gas/virus attack) as part of his uniform like the Kriegers. I like that they used the shovel meme for the Kriegers as canon. Which was a popular close combat weapon in the trenches of WW1 but has been meme-ified by the kriegers in 40K, that and suicide charges. They like their suicide charges. The joke is commissars have to keep them from charging until ordered.

I was aware he was a commissar.  Also, in that last link, enjoyed seeing the different colored uniforms. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

GW is so impressed by the video that they picked up the maker and are paying him to do it.

Thats love right there. I remember a time when GW's legal team would shut down any and everything. They've come a long way.
