Both Volans and Von Tarnus looks terrific. I especially like the martial aspect of the first Fire Patriarch. Splendid job! :)

this project is ticking along! What is the source of the FvonTarnus background on your blog? To me that model is a bit too heavily armored, as far as I remember the corresponding magic item was a light armor. But, creative conversion and lovely painting for sure.

Armour of Tarnus was in fact a light piece - 6+ save. However that figurine looks like an homage to Tarnus' days as a Greatsword captain, before his self-imposed exile. :smile2:

That's right, Xathrodox. I wanted to emphasize the origins of Tarnus related with Carroburg Greatswords. There is also their coat of arms on the stuff.

Cannot remember exactly where I found Tarnus background... some here, some there... I think in this specific case most of it comes from little passages and notes in the army books.

It certainly looks great, you've even gave him the red uniform, which was a trademark of the Carroburg Greatswords. As for his background - it was mainly in the 6th and 7th edition armybooks, as well as Realms of Sorcery for WFRP 2nd edition.

Thanks comrades, your words are significant for me.
Yesterday I just finished two more handgunners units: one from Nordland, the other Altdorf.
Oh, and note that recently I realized two more characters were on the battlefield that day: Orghotts Daemonspew and Bloab Rotspawn (two Nurgle special characters from The End Times). We have to add them on the army list.

But I'll be out for ten days: honeymoon demands my attention!

There's a reason why I love War Mammoths so much. THIS is the reason. You've made an awesome job with that model.

Two. One of them (the painted one), will represent the special character, Tarok and Angkor. The second War Mammoth will have no howdah on it. Jordi is still thinking about some ideas to make it different form the first one.

Hi again generals!

Here you have a mighty regiment of 30 Reiksguard's finally painted!

I worked on this unit after checking the effective result of the one-layer painting system, I wanted to limit the application of painting to Citadel Base colours in each area, except in the armor, which it was detailed with airbrush and brush. I expect to apply shades and highlights someday, but I won't have more time for them in a near future. Actually, in accordance with the expended time, the result is quite decent, as you can appreciate in the following pics. Finishing the bases helps a lot to unit's look!

As always you have a few more pics on the blog and a bit of background on provincial and city-state colour schemes. 8-)

HOLY SHIT I HAD MISSED THE UNIT OF FLAGELLANTS!!!  ::heretic:: ::heretic:: ::heretic::

That's one huge horde of crazy people! If I may suggest, you should add flagellants around the war altar, not just in front of it.

But otherwise just pure awesomeness!
