Love the satin effect on the robes.
The legs for the amber wizard are clever.

However the blue wizard arms and head look a bit awkward?

Do you think so? Maybe he's not wearing very well his age... hehehe. Well, he is summoning the powers of the path of Heaven, looking up there. Here another picture:

I'm liking the creativity of the conversions here!

Does the yellow wizard not have an arm or is that just how the photo came out?

Jajajajajja  :icon_lol: He has it, he has it! It was a perspective issue.

Great looking wizards. That kit works best when you do like you have done and make a representative for each school. Very good tempo you guys got now, closing in on actually being ready for the game?

Great work on all the miniatures!
But isn't the fire mage missing?

Ah!  There it is, must have been up his sleeve, since he's not wearing the kind of hat where he could have pulled it out of that! :icon_wink:

Certainly!

No, this is Frederik von Tarnus, the one with the fire sword. He doesn't look like a regular fire wizard because he was also the captain of the greatswords of Carroburg (and this is the explanation about his dress).

Well, we have about 80-83% of models already painted (the total number of models is 2.850). We plan to finish on 4 months. And then working on the gameboard, another month.

Stunning work on these mages. You've really captured their "essence" and the style of individual colleges. :::cheers:::

Von Tarnus is probably hiding from witch hunters, and doesn't want to be too flashy!

There's still some time, before he'll become the first Patriarch of the Bright Order, after all. ;)

DAmn !!

Those cnuts at GW should be looking at this awesome thread and considering quitting that shit company, for ever having swapped warhammer for Age of Wankmar ,

It's beyond reasoning why they didn't keep WHFB on , at least in parallel ..

Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

That Ostermark army is one of the most beautiful that I ever saw.

As for these Chaos Knights... I would not want to be on the receiving end of their lances.

Stunning!

The old metal chaos knights look intimidating in a way that the newer cartoonish plastic ones aren't.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Your Progress is amazing sir! The Teutogen guard looks incredible! By far the best empire unit ever released! And those old knights are very sweet as well, their horses are just wonderful!

I have a small request though! I have been working lately on a big project (well, not as big as yours, but still very big for the usual warhammer standards) and one part of the project will be the Human Kingdom! And that is going to be a mix of Bretonnia & Empire with many cross armies and cross models (for example some feather hats/facial haired heads on men at arms or some bretonnia shoulder shields on empire greatswords or bretonnia knight helmets on demigryph knights etc) conversions so that most things look like they are really part of the same and not like different things just put together.

What is bothering me, is that the scale of many models (at least regarding Bretonnia) is not really correct! Recently I got my hands on some Bretonnian Men at arms and archers and I have to say that they look very tiny in comparison with the bretonnian knights (the will be my main Knight force). In a way that is not justified from the Knight's armor (in fact they are lower in height than a High elf sea guard and about half of the size of a chaos warrior - maybe not half but the chaos warrior looks like a giant in comparison. And it is not just the height difference! Everything is smaller (legs, arms etc). So I just assume I will not include them in my project.

And what I would like to kindly request from you is a photo of a man at arms, an empire greatsword, an empire archer, a state trooper - from most recent edition (aa possible standing straight models), a teutogen guard and a chaos warrior in same line just to notice any size/scale differences!
Thank you in advance!

not meaning to be mean or hateful, but here we have another case of my fantasy is not realistic enough, it is nice if all the figures are in scale but that is a relative term, you need to keep in mind that the figure is just a representation, the base size should be of more importance than the actual size of the figure, e.g. all men and equals are on 20mm square bases, nasty men etc. are on 25mm square bases, Ogres etc. on 40mm and so on.  But even of more importance is how well you paint the figure, a well done figure outweighs minor size differences and if the whole unit/army is coordinated then size is irrelevant,  unless of course you want reality in your fantasy in which case get rid of orcs, elves, dwarves, skellies, vampires and so on because they did not exist so cannot be realistically reproduced in scale or in paint,    my old suggestion is forget it, take two aspirins and go paint,     :icon_lol:  steveb

Well, I partly agree & I partly disagree!

For sure painting, posing, converting etc are what really make the difference! But aside from that, I am looking for realistic (in my own opinion) sizes, becauses models being on the table as I want them to be, represent better what I have in my mind! I want  my orcs to be as big and savage as possible compared to humans (with the help of awesome painting, conversions PLUS their size), that's why I will only choose from all the availabe wh editions or other wargames  the ones that fit what I have in my mind. That's why I will probably not include centigors in my beastmen army and try to make some conversions! Because they are outdated and look smaller than regular Bretonnian or Empire horses (not 100% sure on that, but from a quick look I took today at a local store they seemed quite ''small for the beastmen I would love to have'').So that when I see everything on table I feel good becauses I transformed the scenery from my thoughts to scenery on my table! It is just a matter of personal taste!

That's why I want my human units to be same scale!

Well, in fact I have not bretonian models (yet) for this picture. But I'm sure you can find it on the net.
Anyway, next time I see my bretonian friend I will take a photo, no problem. I understand your states.

Edit: well, no, I didn't find it on the net...  :icon_neutral:
