Political Map
« on: February 03, 2013, 12:37:29 PM »
Each turn this map will update with the political map. As there are nine electors and only one winner it is natural that alliances will spring up between factions. this is a visual aid to see alliances and voting shifts.

Turn 1

Please bare in mind this is based on the perception of how the vote will swing. You will still have to persuade your electors to vote this way. This is based on the assumption that you will succeed.

Next turns map may have different results.

Okay so each section on this map corresponds to a region on the main one, right? Is there anything specific about which ones to what, does it matter that some sections on this map are bigger, does that correspond to anything in game or is it just artistic licence?

It doesn't mean anything! It's not even a map of Middenheim during the time of the campaign! It's a modern map.

It's just a way to represent the voting status.

Oh, and it certainly doesn't mean you control any of the city.

You are The only person in the world Who cares about how old the map is.

There's no difference between the sizes. One is one.

The importance is that it will change when people give up their votes and declare for another. It's easy to forget that a spot on the main map is not always a vote. This shows you how they are actually doing.

Also, electors are under no obligation to actually vote as they have declared!

Ha! I doubt it.  :icon_razz:

Why is the vote of Duke Marius Riccardi not shown on the map? Or is the taking of a primary electors land not enough to get their square your colour?

But this one is from the future.

A primary elector's vote belongs only to them. Taking their land does not affect this. Riccardi can be convinced or coerced into voting a certain way, or prevented from voting at all. But he cannot be replaced (only an emperor has the power to reassign primary electorships... and of course there isn't one).

I think the primary electorships are hereditary so it would fall to his heir, though with him it might be different due to his position. Does he even have a heir? And if he does, does the heir even live within the Empire?

In cases where it's unclear who the vote passes to, Ar-Ulric gets to decide.

Is it possible to get a tally of the various votes, some of the areas on the map do not clearly delineate whether they are 1 or 2 votes or if an area is not claimable.

I'm thinking of simplifying the map. Whilst cool it isn't very helpful.

I'll knock something together when I've got a free moment.
