Imperial Guard!

Well, that Taurox looks terrible. I kind of like the chassis, but those tracks... oh god. It might look okay with wheels. I wonder if that can be converted without too much hassle.

A TL assault cannon is a nice gun though, and if all those slits are firing ports it might be a nice bunker for some shooty shooty. The question is what differentiates it from the chimera then. Because we already have a cheapish transport tank with a decent gun and plenty of firing ports.

Stormtroopers look ace!

That transport is like an Ork battle wagon "before" pic. Truly I did not expect to see something uglier than the Assault Centurions that quickly.

The storm troopers are weird. Remind me of Bo Tolstrup's Catachan vet from the old Catachan codex for some reason. Probably a kick ass kit in better detail though. And probably $70 AUD for 5.

I really hope IG aren't broken again this time.

Lol! Exactly. The ornamentation and the whole design aesthetic is weird. Looks completely off compared to the rest of the IG vehicle range.

At least it does look like a bull. The front bars even look like a nose ring.

It's a cartoon of a cartoon.

Better pic of the Tauros:

the longer I look at it the more baffled I am. I simply don't get this thing. On one had it has a modern military, utilitarian look to it. Like a SWAT truck or something. Okay. Fine. Then, there's the ornaments. Seriously, is that a skull and crossbones motif on the front grill? And what's up with all that brass? Ummm.... and finally, the tracks that look so impractically, orkily tacked on... this thing is a mess. A complete, shambolic mess.

Nah the front grill has a skull with two lions rampant. It's the same lion as on the side, like a skullzed grimdark coat of arms. I agree with all your points.

Dem tracks...   :eusa_sick:

Perhaps the AdMech stepped aside for this one and let the royal engineering corps of Altdorf have a go?

That would - with some conversion - work rather well as a Steam Tank . . .

Jeez... I generally like what others hate but that thing is ugly.

Wonder how the two books differ.

Command squad looks great.

It looks like a chibi tank.

I'm baffled that this thing and the Valkyrie are made by one and the same company.

Hurrah guard is coming in march. I already feared that the imperial knights were the release and people got confused by them. That apc is horrid.

I guess that Militarum Tempestus stuff is a Stormtroopers supplement, along the lines of Inquisition and other mini stuff that came out the last couple of months. Stormtroopers, couple of options, and the ability to ally them in to other imperial armies.

That is what I was thinking too.  I would assume that they would still include stormtroopers in the main codex to.  Or at least I would hope!

I think the only thing I need is a box of the ogryn if they are real.  That will bump me to 10 total.  I have 40 Kasrkin, and may get a single command group.

If they don't I will be seriously, seriously pissed. I am not willing to essentially have super-expensive DLC for my core choices to be complete.

I don't believe that would ever happen though.

This is one of those rare cases where you have more faith in GW than I!

But I would thing this second codex is an instant supplement, which raises the very really question:  Why the fuck would you not just include it in the maine book?

That is one of the most terrible, dumbest designs I've ever laid eyes on. It doesn't even belong in a G.I. Joe lineup for $10, it's that bad. Those storm troopers are strange, but OK, I guess. They look like they're supposed to be hired or paramilitary forces of some kind, with elements from older storm troopers(hellgun, beret), and weird plate armour.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

I find it more objectionable that there isn't also a Wyoming book. Equal opportunities!

That new guard tank/transport/battlewagon would look far more at home in the Ork range than the imperial guard.

What were GW thinking making the worst looking tank model they have ever done?  Seriously, the rest of their tanks at least resemble something like a real tank/apc (sponsons aside).

Why didnt they just show the model to Forge World before deciding to release it?  After laughing themselves into a coma, they could have come up with a suitable redesign that didn't look like playmobile built it.  Why does it randomly have an Ad mech door glued on the side?

All told, this is not the release that will convince me my Imperial Guard need to stay in a cupboard, and much more likely to see themselves on ebay or in my loft.

I actually quite like it!

But think it will look hugely out of place in an army full of current chimera’s and lemon rusks

I was so looking forward to some Finlay hate regarding that vehicle.

It sucks.

Really looking forward to rules rumours.
