Not quite. While the whole enemy unit has to test for Fear, if one or more models is in btb with the bearer of the Shrieking Blade, only the bearer is immune to Fear, not his unit.

BRB p. 69: "Models that cause Fear are themselves immune to Fear, and are not affected by any of this rule's effects (even if their unit fails its test, for example)."

yes, especially on a warrior priest since hes likely in a unit needing to not fail fear checks

As explained in the post immediately above yours, only the bearer of the Shrieking Blade is immune to Fear, not the unit he is in.
