My initial goal seems to be fulfilled
« on: October 23, 2019, 02:12:15 AM »
My initial back of the head idea was building a field-able army at 3,200 points for every army in fantasy 6th edition. Then the special characters, then factions kicked in, then the Storm of Chaos lists... I kind of went overboard, so I ended up with (minus a bunch on the painting table):

Faction/points/Variant lists

Dogs of War 6,000 points all RoR and special characters as it matches my idea of the army the best

Vampire Counts 15,000 points Can be ran as all five bloodlines plus a pure necromancer list

Hordes and Beasts of Chaos 23,000 points Can be ran as full mortal, beasts, or daemon with any god as lead

Orcs and Goblins 10,000 points grimgor's ard boyz, or full goblin

High Elves 7,000 points haven't bothered with the lothern list

Dark Elves 10,000 cult of slaanesh

Wood Elves 10,000 elf or pure tree spirit

Bretonnia 7,000 can run RAF list if I want to be a jerk

Lizardmen 6,000 Lustria

Empire 8,000 working on middenheim list

Skaven 12,000 Skyre, Hellpit, Eshin, or Lustria Plague

Ogres 6,000 Rhinox

Tomb Kings 5,000

Dwarfs 14,000 Slayer

Impressive setup. Its always good to see so many classics.

Just a heads up to anyone buying do-it-yourself furniture. A lot of the cabinets I have seen look very flimsy. So you know. Don't use any to display anything old and valuable.

Evidently some dude likes your setup.  He can be seen taking a picture in the back of that photo, and probably doesn't know he's been caught. :icon_wink:

An impressive part of your army has ran away, I only see two miniatures in those glass cabinets  :-P

Any plans on basing the models in a uniform way? Or will every army has it own turf?

Thanks guys. My fat ass wouldn't get out of the reflection lol

The tables are from Walmart here.  I moved 5,000 km away so my armies haven't quite arrived yet.

I like the idea of different locales in the old world having different ground coverings.  Still a lot of basing to do.

Added a few more and got a really nice shot of the whole display with the tables out of the way.

Empire wise:

Kislev is now playable as an allied faction. Have two units of Kossars, a decent unit of both Gryphons and Horse Archers and picked up a couple sprues of white wolf upgrades and an ulric blister.

Plus a ton of other stuff

Man we should get a thread going of our other collections. I see your Transformers and I have a bunch of other random stuff too.

BTW, I grew up playing with Diaclone before many were used in Transformers. With the little Inch-men or Drivers as they are called. I loved those guys. But when Transformers came along, I was disappointed I didn't have the actual 'Transformer' versions, and dumped the originals for the officials, like a big idiot. One of my biggest all time regrets. Especially not keeping my Waruder stuff.  :eusa_wall:  :eusa_wall:  :eusa_wall:

But I never had many G1 Transformers, and they are by far my favorites. Optimus is one of my all-time fav characters across many, many universes.

But sadly I got rid of every Transformer I had. I saw Devstator was re-released and thought of getting it for old times sakes, but god I have too much as it is. I loved those Constructicons though. And Soundwave with the cassette guys like Laserbeak.

Man those were the days. Star Wars, GI Joe, Transformers, MASK, and many, many others.

Amazing warhammer room and collection!

I've recently come into possession of one of those Detolf shelving units to store my stuff in. Very good, secure. Highly recommend buying some aftermarket extra shelves though, you can double the storage capacity of those things if you don't need the extra space for tall showpieces.

Thanks,  i liked the detolf for being able to get stuff out easily as well as being nice to look at.  We were gaming every week when i had that room
