Looks challenging for models to traverse...

Love baggage trains though!

Yep, looks like a form of rough terrain. :icon_cool: :eusa_clap:

The first baggage wagon is complete, the gamer in me is pleased but the modeller in me is crying...

Anyway, whilst I decide if I can live with it, onto making a small farmstead.

Michael may not be the only one crying.  Two horses to pull a wagon like that one, it's going to move slowly.  Anyone looking at it as a target for looting, isn't going to find it difficult to catch. :icon_wink:

However, the farm complex looks defendable behind those stone walls! :icon_biggrin: :eusa_clap: :::cheers:::

There is that, my main anguish was over the lack of harness, they pull the wagon with the power of their minds!

In the meantime, popped to Hobbycraft and decided to splurge on ready made trees.
Much more expensive than the Chinese eBay ones, but also more realistic looking.

So.

Samantha and I played another practice game today to help hone our rules knowledge before the campaign starts.
As it was about learning the rules we opted for minimal terrain.

Here are some random images:

Simple set up.

Artillery with 3d printed accessories on base.

Stefan watches the clash once again.

Samantha tried some different spells this time, summoning the undead.
Fortunately they never got close enough for their fear rule to really kick in.

The red dice are heat points for my cannons.
One blew up the second time it fired but it did manage to kill a few enemy before doing so.
I seem to recall it blew up last game too...

Using inserts to help disguise empty and messy movement trays.
Though toward the end of the game I did get a bit bored of doing it!

Bit of a scrap, my numbers and mass helping me push back her troops more than any real fighting prowess.

The only surviving flagellant who went on to form a unit with my only surviving halberdier and my very heavily wounded army general.

It was!!

However my Empire troops having much lower Initiative than the Dark Elves quite often get killed before they can fight back.
I either need something with better reflexes that goes first, or something that can take the first hit and still be standing.

I present to you, my new Ogre mercenaries.

I do intend to go back and add log piles and a cart, but for now I am calling it done.

Since last time I have added barrels and sacks, a little 3d printed torch on the cow shed/barn.
Some piggies, a man off to work the fields, a milk maid and a farmer throwing grain to the aforementioned piggies. Oh and a teeny cockerel.

Next up, to use it in a game!

Charming terrain, cozy atmosphere!  :-)

These are 3d printed houses & fences? (Tried to scroll back but didn't find the story of these exact houses.)

Forget the 6'x4' game, focus on the story beyond that. Because fantasy matters.

Hi.

I have been busy but not all of it Empire, however I have started making some built up areas, resin buildings with some additions to make the town of Stoodhof.

The town statue.

It is of Jeziah Fuchs, a wealthy merchant whose commercial endeavours helped raise the town out of the mire.
He passed away defending his town from a chaos warband and the townsfolk made this statue to honour him.
(Though to be fair, the upkeep of the statue leaves a bit to be desired)

Some historical minis.
I 3d printed feathers and added them to the heads.
Then I added some shields I bought elsewhere.
The sergeant is a 3d print with a 3d printed shield added.

Oh and the guy on the right has a purity seal  :D

Slap them altogether and hey presto!

Initial Photos:

I then went back a few days later and added a Griffin to the shields.
