Good deal on Wizard wagons...
« on: April 07, 2021, 11:13:11 AM »
For anyone who's ever had the internal dilemma of "do I build a Luminark of Hysh, or a Celestial Hurricanum?", fret no more!

GW is selling two wizard wagons together for £50, RRP for one is £35 so it's a nice saving to get both together.

Yippee!

Now what do I do with the one I already have?... I don't need 3, do I...? :engel:

That's $80 in USD.  Not bad, maybe I'll take them up on it.  Although, believe I have on hiding in a box ... hmmm, time to find it!

GW is having a discount!

Not a random bargain box, not a start collecting box, not an army starter box or battalion box. But plain buy two for a discount.

Interesting.

Yeah! I know!

I'm suspicious too...

I've just splashed a bit of cash on the Cursed City and 2 Necromunda gangs but I may well pick one of these up sooner or later when the bank balance picks up again so I can have both! :biggriin:

It does seem different, and am wondering why as well.

I know GW's pricing model is confusing at best because it accounts not only for the physical product but the power of the thing on the tabletop as well - plenty of examples of massed ranks for £20ish per unit of 10, or a single hero for £25!?

Anyway - I wonder if the wizard wagons aren't brilliantly powerful anymore in AoS and so like a used car salesman GW is just flogging them cheap nowadays?

Meh, all I know is I can get more product for less £££ so I'm happy... for now... :-P

I'm not convinced they are charging do to the power on the table top.  Saw an article one time that talked in detail about how the price is more likely attributed to the profit they want to make and how many of something they are making.  I can see how folks would say this is tied to power on the table top though.

However, I am still perplexed by this offer.  Perhaps there is more in their warehouse than is selling.

Sat on this one too long and missed out. My loss- I need three Luminarks for my Freeguild army, and I already own one...
