Sharkbelly's Heroes
« on: January 03, 2023, 04:49:24 AM »
Hello all,

With my undead army mostly finished, aside from maybe a new Ghoul King, it is time to start on my collection of heroes. This group started with the heroes from Cursed City, but I've also been adding a number of other models as well. The goal is to have a selection of heroes both for 'Hammer and for playing D&D. I hope to get these painted throughout the rest of winter and spring.

First up is actually the wizard Octren Glimmscry, whom I painted earlier because he will also work well as a Lich for D&D. I'll share him today to introduce the new project, while getting started on two new models: the Dwarf Runelord and Warden King.

Speaking of beards, here are the next two entries: Dwarf Runelord and Warden King. They'll also make a great fighter or cleric or possibly paladin.

Thank you very much! This week I painted Emelda Braskov and an older Imperial archer that I might use as a halfling...

Next up, I will start a multi-week dive into my Witch Hunters!

They look fantastic! In the second picture, where's the Witchhunter in the back left from? With the shoulder rifle. I recognize Hexbane's hunters, and the two special hero ones, but not that one guy!

Jelsen Darrock from Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. That's what started this whole project.

After some vacation time with the family, I finally got a chance to finish up this group: Cleona Zeitengale and her loyal bodyguards.

Up next are a Paladin and Wizard, the last of my Witch Hunter party.

Here are the next few. A paladin, a fire wizard, and a gryph-hound.

This completes the Witch Hunter-themed part of the group, and next up are some miscellaneous models.

After taking a few weeks, I finally finished Glaurio van Alten and Dagnia Holdenstock for Cursed City. And then I had the idea to add three wind-up "tin men" made out of old Battlemasters halberdiers. Each one has a key in his back cut from the pommel of an extra greatsword.
