So I am kinda thinking on taking my Empire to the first round of the 'Ard Boyz coming up (right now I am leaning more towards Ogres though).  I know this is a cheesy list and would never play anything close to it normally, but this is 'Ard Boyz after all.

I am considering making the Outriders into one unit of 15 and taking either another Cannon or a Mortar.  The obvious concern is that I might have a hard time spreading them out so they can all shoot.  The role I see them in is as a flank protector, kinda like the HVG only more reliable and more mobile.  Alternately I could drop the HVG and bump both these units up, but that would require more models than I have.

i don't really like the list.  Basically your roll a lot of dice, and you either get lucky and win, or unlucky and lose.  Flyers and gorgers, miners, etc can really mess up your day.
If you see a Griffon when you walk outside, you shoot that thing!  Shoot it twice in the face, because it isn't real!
