I think I mentioned that my cousin died in March, and that my paternal Grandmother died in April. Its May and now I've lost an Aunt. All on the same side of the family. Its been quite the year so far.

I have always found a loss like a slow burn. You get through it at the beginning it really sets in over time. That’s a lot of loss on a short space.

Thanks guys its been rough.

My wife has to go to Belgium for 3 weeks for a work thing. I will be taking care of our 2 kids alone with no back up. I know I'll be fine, but I can't help but feel anxious about it.

My in-laws have sold their place in Michigan and are going to be moving in with us (Massachusetts) by the end of July. I am not looking forward to this. They plan to move into their own place once they find a place near us in their price range (their price range will not find them a place near us). So this house is about to get crowded and there's no telling for how long.

My wife was suppose to return from her Belgian work trip today, but due to some airline fuckery shes stuck in DC and now has to stay at a hotel (a shitty one too). Also they lost all her luggage. And we had cake and flowers ready too.

Had made plans to buy some nice warhammer, books etc. Found out I had a water leak in my kitchen. Called the owner of my apartment who send a plumber. He found the smallest jack in a hose from my dishwasher. 2000sek gone. Called the insurance company tp get them to cover the cost of the plumber and for a new hose. 1h waiting in telephone, then disconnected when if was my turn.

Just annoying and time consuming, but could be worse, no damage to interiors as off now at least.

The local gaming store got in a huge assortment of now OOP pewter GW miniatures [a lot of stuff from 1995-2003] I was planning on buying some but the prices are astronomical. $395.00 AUD for the hideous metal killa kan, $190.00 for a Kislev champion

In other news, Covid is out of control in my state. Lockdowns and restrictions continue. I hat to think how many billions this is going to wind up costing the next generations grand children in the longrun

I just had a fleshy growth removed from my gums/jawbone by a periodontist. Bodies are really gross sometimes and I miss being a 20something and feeling great no matter what kind of junk food or punishment I subjected my body to. If anyone wants to add me to their prayer/nice thoughts rolodex I'd be grateful. Here's hoping it wasn't a cancerous tumor.

On the positive side, I have a few days off work to paint minis.

I was waiting for a few weeks for my work holder/hobby vice thing to arrive in the post.

Turned up today but unfortunately looks to be incomplete, missing the steel pins that go in the perforated top bit to hold stuff

Ah well - looks like another few weeks before I'll be getting them as well! (assuming the customer services are happy to send them out separate)

My uncle on my mother's side passed away today. Details are sketchy but it may have had to do something with his heart. Its been quite a year.
