Wow Obi! That even blows my connection at Schiphol out of the water!

And for someone remembering my pityful home connection stats I also posted......we're probably going to get a fiber-optic network where I live! At least 30% of the homes have to commit themselves to a subscription in advance (but only start paying when there's an actual working connection of course). I can see that happening!

So the estimated 6 months is simply the length of the waiting line?

Back when I went to study in Wageningen I was clever enough to hire a student room before the summer holiday. With the system they had everybody got a random number and got a room in that order. But I realised that the housing corporation wouldn't like empty rooms from students who had left university. So the order in which people were being served would actually be used on a per month basis.
I was right and got myself a nice big room in the complex I wanted and got to spend a nice 2 months getting to know the city and all.

Wouldn't have helped in student cities with a waiting list measured in years of course...

The top 15 with the longest 'inschrijfperiode' with the housing corporation are allowed to come 'hospiteren'. I signed up early enough to be doing that, pretty much. However, I'm not yet really looking- I'll start around Christmas, but I may take up to February to actually get a room (lots of students dropping out after the first half year).

nope. I checked this guy out, he does this kind of thing all the time for fun. I dont watch glee but he made a similar video to send to the glee producer as an audition and supposedley he is or will be on glee now. Beyonce even saw the video and made a response video, she was quite impressed.
