8 on the Miscast table is every model on the same side with the capability to generate power/dispel dice suffers a S6 hit, and D6 power dice are lost from the pool.

Probably should confine the Damage to the section the miscasting wizard is in?

Indeed this is true.

3 dice lost.

rolls to wound
On casting wizard 1 = no wound

Other than the warshrine, which other casters (or bound spells that I'm aware of) are in the center and what spells do they have? I'm guessing a chaos sorcerer lord - but I don't know his lore or spells?

I would go for dispelling with the lvl 2 but I need to decide on either 1 or 2 dice, and that depends on what other nastyness that might come afterwards.

Both in the CoC unit or is it somebody else?

What spells do they have?

Both in CoC.

Metal is Searing Doom, Enchanted Blades, Glittering Robes, and Final Transmutation.

Fire has Fireball and The Burning Head.  It was that or Fire Cloak

A 1 or 2 is an automatic failure, so the spell is not dispelled.

dispell dice = 2

Spell dispelled

Targets are: 1: Chaos Sorcerer; 2: WoC champion; 3: Archaon

Next spell is a 4-dice boosted Final Transmutation at H1.

I'm not going to bother on the right.  Empire can easily dispel whatever I try to cast.  Nothing in range on the left.

Which just shows that I have never had an auto failure in magic :) sorry.

4 dice Final Transmuntation = 6+3+2+1 = 12

Roll on the Eye of the Gods

Chaos Sorcerer 6, 4, 2
WOC Champion 1, 2, 3
Archaon 6, 4, 1

Roll on the Eye of the Gods

Chaos Sorcerer 6, 4, 2
WOC Champion 1, 2, 3
Archaon 6, 4, 1

It only affects D3, did you roll for the spell?

That is the order I would choose (sorcerer if 1, sorc + champ if 2, sorc + champ + arch. if 3)

I will take +1 strength for the Chaos Sorcerer.

Hellcannons (H5 & 6) will both shoot at DK1.  Fire as a stonethrower.  Small template, 60" range, S5(10), d6 wounds under the central hole.  If a unit takes a casualty then they must take a Panic test at -1 Ld.

I need a reaction to the Final T and then I'll move on to shooting, I assume they will try and dispell it though.

Sorry Boosted FT wasn't cast on a 16 [my mistake]   okay on the shooting.   I assume that you want to plant both shots into the middle of DK1.

First shot heads back towards the chaos line 2 inches.   I think this should push the centre out from the unit but will still hit 2 DGKs

Roll to Wound 4,5 = 2 wounds

AS 2,3 = 1 saved

Wounds: 1

Hit on the second shot.   1 DGK under the hole and 2 more hit.

6 [under the hole], 2, 4 = 2 wound

AS 3 = 1 saved

wound under the whole = 5 wounds

Wounds = 5

5+1 = 6

2 dead DGKs

leadership test at -1 = 3+3 = 6 passed.

Empire you're up

That was the reason why I did not react :-).

Are multiple wounds on multi-wound units resolved like that? Demi's have 3 wounds each, so each Demi (including the one hit under the center of the template) can only suffer three wounds.

Like when you hit a unit of say, Ogres in two ranks with a cannon:
1) You hit and wound the first Ogre, then roll for number of wounds and then if he's killed you roll to wound/number of wounds the Ogre in the second rank.
2) Say you roll a 4 for the number of wounds on the first Ogre, he's killed of course. Then you roll a 2 for number of wounds on the second Ogre. The first Ogre is killed - but he can only suffer 3 wounds and wounds don't carry over to the rest of the unit, so the second Ogre remains with one wound.

I think this is correct - any comments on that commandant?

I thought that wounds were dished out to the unit.   I'll post in the Elector's fourm to see.

I fear that it appears only one DGK died and one has lost a wound.   Still Empire charges needed.
