6th Edition Game Day
« on: September 02, 2021, 01:26:15 PM »
So, my friend decided for my birthday this weekend coming, that we should do a multi table game day. We're going to set up 4 tables with 2-4 players on each depending on attendance. Not sure if we will theme it, but maybe a Storm of Chaos theme might be fun, I know I want to bust out the Middenland list and the Sylvannia list. My friend wants to crush someone with the tzeentch flying circus as well. We will see what happens. I'll post here when done. We have all armies and I think enough to do any themed list from each.

I hate people who don't paint their armies, hate them with all my guts. Beats me how they value other things over painting, like eating or brushing teeth.

Only took two pics, but i'll post them once i am home, a lot of people cancelled, so it ended up me trying to teach two tables while playing my own game. The games were:

Skaven SAD list vs Khalida Tomb Kings
Tzeench Flying Circus vs Dark Elves
and the big table was Mazamundi Lizards and SoC slayers vs Bretonnia and Sea Guard SoC High Elves.

looked like dark elves were doing good and the other table tomb kings were leading (good ol casket of souls went off) Lizards and Slayers won their table

Sometimes that happens with small events.  There always seems to be a drop off factor.  At least some folks were able to have a good time.

It was unfortunate that the other experienced players were the ones that cancelled. It made it very difficult to play a 4 player game with two new people, and two two player games with 3 new people. If the two new people on the big table didn't want to play on a team (they're a couple) it would have been easier as well. I could have focused on one until they knew what they were doing in the phase, then helped another table get their phase down. As it stood, it was kind of a cluster^$#$, but at least everyone had fun. The couple learned it decently, but we didn't get far as some people started leaving early
