What Miniature Games Are You Playing in 2023 ...
« on: January 19, 2023, 08:56:02 AM »
What Miniature Games Are Being  Played in 2023?

In 2020 ... I had 5 or 6 games (all over Zoom).

2021 ... I had 26 games (14 in person, 12 via Zoom).

2022 ... I achieved my goal of getting in 26 again (none over Zoom).

It's on to 2023 ... I have plans to attend 3 gaming conventions this year, and doing this could put me over 26 for the year.

At the moment ... none in the first two weeks though.

Some/Any, that is my hope.

That virtual game in 2021 with you as GM and your nephew GP was the last taste I got. But then 2022 saw me have 372 OT hours so we shall see.

Dude ... the next time I'm out in Wisconsin visiting family I will have miniatures with me for gaming with them, and for a convention on the return trip home.  Maybe we can connect for a game.  It is highly likely, very highly likely, that this will be in July of this year.

GP's 2nd miniature game of the year ... Feudal Patrol, Aztecs vs. Conquistadores in the battle of Lake Texcoco, Canoes vs. Ships.

I played on the side with the Aztecs in there canoes.  The GM said it was the highest point scoring total that he'd seen from the Aztecs in playing the scenario, except the Conquistadores managed to get three ships to the City edge, and fire their cannons on to it, and so we still lost.  It was a total hoot of a five hour game ... wicked fun :icon_exclaim:

My 2023 Tally so far ...

Hey just send me a PM if you are heading up to these parts, that would be the push to finish the gaming table. Just been stuck with work (372 hrs OT last year) as I have no real back up there of late.

3 games of To The Last Man testing my WW1 Rommel recon mission scenario.

Updating ...

My 2023 Tally so far ...

Lion Rampant ... 6
Feudal Patrol ... 1
To The Last Man ... 4

That's 1 games in  a bit over 4 months, and 8 games for the first quarter.  With 4 games scheduled for upcoming convention, and 1 game scheduled with friends beyond that  that'll put me at 16 for the first half of the year.

Seem to be on a good pace this year. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

At Huzzah! 2023 this past weekend ... GMed a Lion Rampant game, and To The Last Man, plus played in a game of Big Bloody Battles (Franco Prussian War), and a sort of Swordpoint ancients game with other modifications made for convention gaming.

My 2023 Tally so far ...

Lion Rampant ... 7
Feudal Patrol ... 1
To The Last Man ... 5
Big Bloody Battles ... 1
Swordpoint ... 1

That's 15 games so far for 2023, through middle of May, approximately a pace of 3 games per month currently.  However, my previously scheduled game with some friends has been delayed into the 3rd quarter.  Might get in another game with a nephew before end of May though.

Got a bit distracted last year from keeping this up to date! :icon_eek:

After Huzzah! in May ... came Historicon in July.  At the latter I GMed the Snappy Nappy campaign-in-a-day event, my Agincourt scenario, and 1 World War 1 scenario, plus I played in 3 Carnage and Glory games and 1  To The Strongest.

Also in July were 3 Lion Rampant Games, and 1 To The Last Man game with niece and nephew in Wisconsin.

There were two WW1 games with friends locally in September and December, plus another WW1 game as well as a Twilight of the Soldier Kings game with other friends.

Then was also attendance and gaming with Lion Rampant and 2 more To The Last Man WW1 games at Carnage, too.

My 2023 Tally so far ...

Lion Rampant ... 12
Feudal Patrol ... 1
To The Last Man ... 12
Big Bloody Battles ... 1
Swordpoint ... 1
Carnage & Glory ... 3
To The Strongest ... 1
Twilight of the Soldier Kings ...1

That's a grand total of 32 miniature games in 2023.   This is my highest amount for a year.

How did you do over all in 2023 with miniature games :icon_question:
