We suspect there will be an initial starter set for when The Old World arrives again.

So far the three possibilities listed in this poll correspond with the 3 rumors that are hanging about, and we wonder which idea you'd prefer?

Perhaps it'll be entirely different than any of these, yet just for fun we're running this poll. :icon_biggrin: :::cheers:::

The three rumored are Bretonnia vs. Tomb Kings, Cathay vs. Kislev, and Empire vs. Empire.

However, I've added in the other two Empire options as choices because some folks will prefer such classic Empire enemies.

Ha! Estalia and Hobgoblins ... an interesting choice, although there's been no suggestions from GW yet that might lead to those being in a starter set at the beginning.  Yet nor for that matter Empire vs Chaos nor Empire vs. Orks.  Perhaps I'll make such an alternative on the poll, except not sure that doing that is wise or not.

As an aside ... it'd be neat to eventually see Estalians in Morions.  And maybe some Tileans from Remas in roman legion like outfits.

However, with the release of some pictures of bits for Bretonnia and Tomb Kings, and this being the first such items being shown, it leads to the presumption that such might be the first starter set for the return to The Old World.

Only 4 votes so far here on this poll?  Hmmm ... it's not too early to voice a preference, even though a person's preference might not be what happens.

Checking in on this poll ... hmmm not many votes on this topic.

Suspect it'll be only so much longer before we get a reveal.

Have you voted :icon_question:

Well, well, well ... seems there won't be a usual starter set being released. :icon_eek:

Although GW are initially releasing Tomb Kings and Bretonnia as the first two armies to have what they are calling "core army boxes". :icon_cool:

Since we now know the answer to this situation, this poll is now closed.

Personally, I think the absolute BEST thing GW could have done would have been to issue a public APOLOGY to all WHFB gamers for having perpetrated the Bland Times hoax and go the soap opera route: Some Skaven shaman imbibed WAY too much warpstone one fine evening in the sewers of Altdorf and had a whole bunch of extremely weird fever dreams - known to us as the A$$ of Sickmar.
Since it was all just a really bad dream, things are (finally) back to normal now, the Old World is at it was and we can all relax....
Either that or go WAY back in 'hoistory' and issue a basic box set of Elves vs. Dwarves.
No Elven split, no Empire, the REALLY Old World......
