I tell you... as these guys die off, there just arent younger musicians replacing them. I know there are a few like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift (neither that I listen too) but besides them I do not see any being able to create a legacy that can last decades like some of the stuff we've been blessed to listen to since the 60s. I actually think the greatest decade of music is the 70s even though I had distain for it when I was a kid. It took me a while to realize that everything I listened to in the 80s and 90s had its roots in the 70s whether it was punk, alternative, or metal. I just don't see that happening now. I imagine changes in the music industry have had an impact on that too.
