Middenlanders
« on: January 05, 2025, 05:25:45 PM »
A year or 2 ago I started a Marienburg army on here scrapped that plan and went with Middenland. This will be where I post my progress. Hopping to complete 1 unit per month.

Thanks. I've got a unit planned, I just hate that they wear red barding on their horses. Really clashes with the blue thing I got going on haha.

Very nice halberdiers. Those plastic greatswords are a great base. Will be following your project with interest! A unit a month sounds achievable though I couldn't personally manage it.

Love you black armor.  These look great!  Congrats on excellent work.  The blue you have chosen is also nice.

Thanks I decided to go with a more grim dark look and went with desaturated blues. It suits the rugged Middenlanders.

I've got 30 veteran halberdiers done with the banner still being a work in progress.

You're off to a phenomenal start! The wood grain on the cannons is excellent. I look forward to following your progress!

Very nice indeed! While I like the wood grain on the cannons I like the faded colour on the gun barrels even more. Will be looking forward to those Teutogen Guard you have in the works.

Thanks. Most of the metallics are just a metalic base coat - 1 or 2 washes - dry brush or edge highlight with metalic paint.

Great, consistent painting. Nicely dark with highlights. Love your blue.  :eusa_clap:

I loved the Halberd arm from the old Militia kit. I much preferred it to the needlessly fiddly multi-part ones that came with the other kits
