Topic: Color scheme inspiration please.

Long ago (like 2001) I picked for my region of the Empire: Wissenland. I now have a full unit of spearman, swordsman, handgunners, pistoliers, and assorted generals and captains.

But now I’m a little bored with gray and white as my colors. And I’m looking for something with a bit more color. Especially as I begin painting again and as I buy new 3d printed stuff.

But I also want to be very cult of Sigmar focused. I have a war altar I want to be using and some great warrior priest models. What would be a good fit?

I suppose the obvious choice is Altdorf, but I there is a part of me against having the main group of a faction. What are other Sigmarite focused regions?  Nordland? Averland? Solland?

You could do ostermark with a cult based on mordheim or being near to mordheim and their colours are more different with purple and yellow

I’ve gone for them in old world also because we know that events happen in the timeline in ostermark so if the timeline progresses it future books I’m well positioned

A cult of Sigmar could be in any colours they desire really, you could even have ex-soldiers from lots of different places in their kit that joined the cults ranks.

That is wise council. Who knows what new lore we will get. Plus it lets me have an excuse for my procrastination.

Go middenhiem. Red white and blue baby.

Altdorf is red white and blue also!  Though in different proportions. I probably would have gone Middenheim ages ago, but I don’t really like all the wolf stuff and Ulric, I’m a sigmar man. Shame too, because blue and white looks pretty spiffy.

Middenhiemers exiled from Middenhiem because of their belief in Sigmar. White Blue and the colour of wherever you decide they are exiled to.

Just go middenhiem. Not all of middenhiem is Ulric. Some of em I believe are believers of sigmar.

Riekland would be decent as well. But not as cool as middenhiem. Only thing I don't like on middenhiem is the sigil.

One thing you can do is try to model specific regiments of renown, if you happen to have that unit in your army. So for example, you could have the carroburg greatswords, or artillery handled by nuln gunners.

Or include a unit of free company in your army, either paint them in a profusion of colors, or model them as being a 'mercenary' company from a specific place. I've done all my free company up in red/blue/yellow and they are from marienburg.
