Turn 6 fluff report ...
Parting to DestinyCommander Karl Shultz von Weidmarkt had just said goodbye to Paddy North and the senior ranking member of the Hersh family huntsmen. The muscular backwoodsman towered over he who was called The Runt by those who werent particularly fond of short fellows such as Von Weidmarkt, and the Commander of the Shultz family military units stared off at the two after theyd all parted, not knowing if theyd see each other again, or if they did, how long before it would be.
There had been many partings recently. There was the meeting of the two Lords, and their supporters who were present. The loss of a relationship with the supporters of another, and the harsh words received when a conciliatory tone had been initiated by himself. And of course thered been the sending of one of the smaller pigeons, a favorite of Von Weidmarkts, who had not yet returned, when so many others had in the last week. Von Weidmarkt wondered if he should send another. He would need to if his ideas were to come to fruition, when so many others had not.
Weidmarkt.
The commanders brain was shaken from its wandering, Paddy North and the Hersch family elder snapping back into focus again, yet further away, and having now reached the rearward side of their soldiers and baggage train.
Weidmarkt.
It had been a low, calm voice interrupting his thoughts, and the commander turned his head when he recognized the voice.
Weidmarkt, its time to go. Olric, Von Rusdorf, and even your men and mine, theyve all moved out as well, and we need to catch back up.
The commander smiled slightly, Werner had always continued to be there, stalwart, consistently coming through on his commitment, a truly valuable mercenary even if he was more quiet than others. But now when it probably made sense he had spoken.
Yes, quite right you are Werner, it is time to go.
Von Weidmarkt looked one more time to the north. He hoped it would all work out well, and if not, that Paddy Norths back up plan would be enough then. In the meantime, his own leadership was needed in another direction.
Von Weidmarkt turned his horse, Werner having already turned his, and was galloping away. The spurs were touched lightly against the flanks of the black stallion, and it moved off towards their next destiny, whatever it might be.
