Topic: New Book Release Date? Anyone?

Forgive me if I missed a thread that is already discussing this.

I am just wondering if anyone has any info on the release date for the new army book.

I can't wait to spend $40 on it.

There are no solid dates, but there was a recent uproar about a date GW had mistakenly posted on some Empire miniatures on their site. It was up for a few days then removed. That date was April 7th. Many people are taking that to be the release date of the new Empire book. That's not to say it is, just an odd thing to have happen when there are fairly strong rumors that it is next and will be released before the end of summer.

Not officially. GW doesn't release product on Fridays, they release product on Saturdays. The date is April 7th. That doesn't mean your local store won't be selling it on Friday, they aren't supposed to, but lots of independant retailers will sell it as soon as they get it in stock.

According to the leaked photos released all over the internet this week some of the Fine Cast models and new griffon kit will be going on sale April 7th.  I think it would be safe to assume that the Empire book will be released to coincide with this.

The official release date is the 7th of April. The book and new models went up on the GW site yesteday. There is some class pieces and I will be getting my book on Saturday. I can hardly wait though. Does anybody know where I may be able to get a PDF version of the new book to tide me over until then?

Oh look, nobody knew the exact date. If you go back and read you won't see official anywhere but my post. Yes, a few people hit the nail on the head but nobody bothered to mention that it was actually posted on GW's website. So now there is no speculation about it anymore.

I beg to differ, on March 30 I knew the exact date, just as I posted. No need to say it's official at that point as that was in White Dwarf. It wasn't based on speculation at that point...
