Good channel with all kinds of things from painting without brushes to testing static grass applicators.

Also, what are those wires on the other end of the applicators? The things he keeps next to the grass?

That helps create the static for the placement of the static grass.

I have enjoyed some of his videos, although tend to look at various different video producers to get multiple ideas and viewpoints. Here's a link to a thread started recently that has some links to some terrain videos ...

However, I have some of his scenery items queued up in my cart for basing figures ... going to try some of the Base Ready products and the Modeling Compound.
Available in the US via FootsoreAmerica ... https://footsorenorthamerica.com/

Received my order a bit of ways back now. Hoping to give these a go sometime soon. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

What did you get?
-
Base Ready products ... Mediterranean, Scrublands, Forest Ground Cover, Taiga Hillside, Arid Grasslands, Rugged Fields, and River Bed.
Scatter products ... Rough Pasture, plus dark and medium scatter, and some slate chippings.
And I picked up some fast drying basing glue, as well as some matt scenic sealant to give those a try.
Thought I'd picked up some of the modeling compound, yet if I did, not sure where I put it. :icon_redface:

Syphon ... painted some bases for a unit of 12 medieval spearsmen (with Benevento heraldry), and then used the Geek Game Scenic scenery mix called Mediterrannean. These came out wicked cool, and their fast drying pva style basing glue worked like a charm. Quick and easy, little to no fuss.
-
Sounds like a recommendation then :)

The glue worked so fast and so well to connect with the basing mix, and suspect any basing mix would be ok, that I probably didn't even need to paint the base. However, the mix itself came out well on the base too ... I like the brightness and distribution of flocking material to tiny stones of their Mediterranean Mix.
Looking forward to trying various other mixes they produce on various other units and eras as well.
