Okay, not being a guy to give up easily I updated all drivers, defragged my hard disc and tried Shogun 2 again. There even was a patch today, yay! And I did the first battle again.

And at the end of the battle - it crashed. Again.

I am... NOT PLEASED.

Go explode violently Obi.

Just do it.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

It definitely manages to convey emotional turmoil and unquenchable rage.

I am told by my son that the crashing at the end of a game is a driver thing.

It is not enough to have the latest drivers ( his was only 3 weeks old) you have to have the specific driver that says it plays Shogun.

If that makes sense - I deciphered it from a series of grunts ...........

At least Shogun reminded me why I shouldn't buy games on the release, ever.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Why? I have not had any problems. Aldaris is the first person I've heard of that's had any problems at all.

I find your decision not to rate patsy as a "person" a bit harsh, but anyway - you might want to take a look at, for example, the TWCenter website. The technical help forum is stuffed full of "...crashes..." topics in endless variations.

Well seems I was a good boy and therefore no crashes for me.

Yay.

I like my sanity, so I don't venture into their non-modding forums. *shrug*

And I wasn't aware that patsy had gotten the game.

Certainly no worse than warseer or really most forums dealing with some kind of hobby/game. The usual rabid whining like everywhere else, with the occasional splash of valid, constructive criticism or positive comments.

Maybe I've just clicked on the wrong threads in the past then...

My impression was on par with the official Bioware forums.

...which are typical examples as well. Like I said, a majority of rabid whining with the occasional splashes of reason mixed in. Visiting forums for things that are supposed to be fun is no laughing matter these days.

It is however, accurate.

I distinctly recall him being a "twink" for Shadowlord, and they certainly aren't people.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

I worked for a hobby store long ago, he had a shrink wrapper for boxes. It was no trouble for him to reshrink wrap a game or model and put it back on the shelf. This is what may have happened to you battali0on box.  steveb
