Seeing as I will have painted 2 40k armies between bashes, and did an OnG army in a few months before the last bash… no excuses!

I think I have a mould infection somewhere in my room, but I can't see it, only smell it. To keep the smell from building up too much I have to keep the window open, but I suspect the rather wet weather isn't helping too much. And if it was 30 degrees I wouldn't have to sleep with two covers and a blanket.

30 °F = -1.1 °C

Also Kenny mold is serious business ...people die from it see if you can find it and regularly open your window to get fresh air in...warm and humid is great for fungus and bad for you.

Shit, so worse than I thought.

Also, I kinda guessed you meant Fahrenheit, but I guess you guessed that too and we're both just shitting each other. Or you were sincere, it's hard to tell over the Internet.

Say what please?

I guess different cultures also add to the confusion.

Flight Directing, even more serious business.

And I mean I guessed that Cannon meant Fahrenheit, not you, Fandir. Sorry about the confusion. It just bugs me when some countries can't keep up with the times and use sensible measuring systems like celsius or the metric system.

That's funny... how?

Fahrenheit remains the official measuring system of the United States, Cayman Islands and Belize. Everyone else is using Celsius.

The issue with the metric system is not much different.

From a scientists perspective Fahrenheit is not a bad system but Celsius is much easier to handle also nice to understand as 0 ° Fahrenheit is something that usually doesn´t happen in reality.

Yes, yes it does? We hit 0 F all the time... I think you're thinking of Kelvin.

I remain in favor of Fahrenheit and the imperial system because I'll be damned if I have to learn a new system, but they do make a lot less sense than metric and Celsius.

Now that is just wrong.   They make the same amount of sense as metric and Celsius.   One way of counting can't make less sense than another.

I think the Imperial is base 12 though where as the metric is base 10.

Imperial is base nothing. 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, 5280 feet or 1760 yards to a mile.

Celsius has 0 at water's freezing point and 100 at it's boiling point. Fahrenheit has those at two arbitrarily determined values. 32 is freezing point, 212 is boiling point. I'm sure there's a method to the madness of how it's organized, but Wikipedia is down for me so I don't know what it is, and I'm pretty sure it makes less sense than Celsius anyway.

By less sense I mean it's harder to learn and to use.

Yes soth  :biggriin:?

Fahrenheit was designed that the average temperature of a human came out to 100 degrees but on the equipment available at the time there was a some error so it is off by 1.4 degrees.
