Salvatore is going to leave for Italy on Friday. As he got swamped with work by his boss, we won't be able to have another painting lesson till mid-January.

I've had to two work two 14 hour days this week, 8.30am-10.30pm (usually it's 8.30-6.30) with no overtime pay, not happy and feeling ridiculously tired

That sucks.

I have worked the last 2 days with Pneumonia, and passing gall stones. I feel like crap, but there is too much in my department to be done at year end to let it just be put on the back burner...besides I had no sick time left.

Feel your pain on the no OT.

While looing for the tracking number for my pleasant surprise, I've found I have to hand in a piece of coursework in 1 hour. I only have notes as I thought it had to handed in on the 16th of Jan but I've just found out that the first 5 questions which are worth 60% of the coursework have to be handed in today. I can possibly get 35/40 % for the rest of the coursework and can take the hit regarding my overall progress but if I'd known last night I would've been able to sort it out and hand it in. It would also take me 45 minutes to get to the place where I have to hand it in so there is no way I could possibly hand it in.

Really want to build a time machine and kick myself repeatedly in the face arrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

I'm worried by the new Batman trailer. It looks like transformers 2: explosions, action and no story.

I expect a lot more from my favourite director, Chris Nolan.

While a student I worked in 'Horeca' for years as a bartender in a disco/bar. Worktimes from 22:00 to 5:30, minimum wage, and the tips weren't great.

It did have some good side effects in terms of money/going out:

1) I was making some money that did not require me skipping classes!
2) I worked in the weekends so I wasn't actually going out myself, thus spending money, but did get the whole 'going out' atmosphere.
3) For the first few years I worked there we were allowed to drink on the house during work, as long as it didn't affect your performance at work. Really helped the festive mood!

Ah yes, I have worked in what US would term as the "Service Industry". Or in dutch "Horeca".

I got some good tips a few times, one week I made about $600 in tips alone. (Not bad for a night auditor working front desk)

Worst part- I work for a temp agency so I don't get tips. Then again, I get paid about 2.5 times minimum wage, so that's not bad.

I wasn't really that impressed, hopefully the movie is better fleshed out. I think they're going to have a hard time overcoming the lack of Joker.

Car troubles, have to stay home from work waiting on the tow truck. Hopefully won't be too big of a deal, but lots of stuff going on right now which is sort of stressing me out. Baby due in 3 weeks and just started up a new job which has shaken my confidence a bit it seems.

Really just trying to keep it all in perspective and focus on the positives of each of the three.
